Abstract

***** This research aims to develop a product in the form of teaching material BEKA (Electronic Book of Natural Wealth) using a problem-based flipbook developed through the Heyzine Flipbook website on social studies learning content regarding natural wealth in the area where students live in class IV elementary school. This research is development research (R&D) using the ADDIE development model which consists of five stages (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The subjects of this research were class IV students at SDN Ciracas 06 Pagi, East Jakarta. The instruments used were interviews and questionnaires. The results of research based on expert tests show the feasibility of BEKA teaching materials with a percentage of 92% of material experts in the very feasible category, 97% of linguists in the very feasible category and 98% of media experts in the very feasible category. The students' one to one test obtained a percentage of 88%, small group 92% and field test 94% where all three were in the very good category. This research also measures the effectiveness of using BEKA on students' problem solving abilities. Effectiveness was measured through a pretest-posttest involving 26 students. BEKA teaching materials obtained an average N-Gain of 0.83 in the high improvement category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that BEKA teaching materials are suitable and effective for use as teaching materials for social studies learning.
