Abstract

Penelitian eksperimen ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya pengaruh dari penerapan model Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis IPA di kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN Cakung Timur 03 Pagi. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas V yaitu kelas eksperimen yang berjumlah 30 orang peserta didik dan kelas kontrol yang berjumlah 32 orang peserta didik. Model penelitian true experimental design. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah teknik cluster random sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan soal pilihan ganda dengan 21 butir soal yang sudah diuji validitasnya menggunakan rumus Korelasi Point Biserial. Sedangkan uji reliabilitas menggunakan rumus KR-20 (Kuder Richardson). Pada uji validitas menggunakan rumus Korelasi Point Biserial sebanyak 30 soal pilihan ganda dengan 21 soal valid dan 9 soal drop. Data analisis uji persyaratan yaitu uji normalitas dengan menggunakan uji normalitas liliefors dan uji homogenitas menggunakan uji barlett sebagai uji persyaratan data. Hipotesis menggunakan uji-t dengan taraf signifikansi α = 0,05 diperoleh t_hitung=2,167> t_tabel=1,671. Maka dengan demikian H_0 ditolak dan H_1 diterima. Kesimpulan penelitian ini terdapat pengaruh signifikan penerapan model Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis IPA peserta didik kelas V di SDN Cakung Timur 03 Pagi. ***** This experimental study was conducted to determine whether there is an influence of implementing the Problem Based Learning model on the critical thinking skills in science of fifth-grade elementary school students. The research was carried out at SDN Cakung Timur 03 Pagi. The subjects of this study were V grade students, consisting of 30 participants in the experimental class and 32 participants in the control class. The research employed a true experimental design, and the sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. The research instrument utilized multiple-choice questions comprising 21 items, which were validated using the Point-Biserial Correlation formula. Meanwhile, the reliability test employed the KR-20 formula (Kuder Richardson). In the validity test, the Point-Biserial Correlation formula was applied to 30 multiple-choice questions, resulting in 21 valid questions and 9 dropped questions. The analysis of test requirements included the normality test using the liliefors normality test and the homogeneity test using the Bartlett test as the prerequisite tests for the data analysis. The hypothesis was tested using a t-test with a significance level of α = 0.05, resulting in a calculated thitung = 2,167 > ttabel = 1,671. Therefore, H0 is rejected, and H1 is accepted. The conclusion of this research indicates a significant influence of using the Problem Based Learning model on the critical thinking abilities in Science of students in class V at SDN Cakung Timur 03 Morning.
