Abstract
Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman melalui metode pembelajaran Cooperative integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) di kelas IV SDN Klender 10 Pagi Jakarta Timur. yang berjumlah 28 siswa. penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan oktober 2023 semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan model Kemmis dan Mc.Taggart. teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes kemampuan membaca pemahaman, instrumen pemantau tindakan guru dan siswa, catatan lapangan, serta dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan merefleksi kegiatan-kegiatan yang dilakukan pada setiap siklus. Pada siklus I siswa memperoleh nilai ≥70 mencapai 75%, sedangkan pada siklus II mencapai 96,4%. Adapun hasil data pemantauan aktivitas guru dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman melalui metode pembelajaran Cooperative integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) pada siklus I sebesar 77%,sedangkan untuk pemantauan tindakan aktivitas siswa sebesar 71,7%. Pada siklus II pemantauan tindakan aktivitas guru mendapatkan hasil 95% dan untuk pemantauan tindakan aktivitas siswa sebesar 90%. Dengan demikian penggunaan metode pembelajaran Cooperative integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas IV SDN Klender 10 Pagi Jakarta Timur. ***** The classroom action research aims to improve reading comprehension skills through the Cooperative integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning method in class IV SDN Klender 10 Pagi East Jakarta. which amounted to 28 students. this research was conducted in October 2023 odd semester of the 2023/2024 school year. This research uses the Kemmis and Mc.Taggart model. The data collection techniques used in this study were reading comprehension ability tests, teacher and student action monitoring instruments, field notes, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted by reflecting on the activities carried out in each cycle. In cycle I, students who obtained a score ≥70 reached 75%, while in cycle II it reached 96.4%. The results of teacher activity monitoring data in improving reading comprehension skills through the Cooperative integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning method in cycle I amounted to 77%, while for monitoring student activity actions amounted to 71,7%. In cycle II, the monitoring of teacher activity actions obtained the results of 95% and for monitoring student activity actions amounted to 90%. Thus the use of Cooperative integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning method can improve the reading comprehension ability of fourth grade students of SDN Klender 10 Pagi East Jakarta.
