Abstract

FARISAH DIANAH HAFILA. Pengaruh Produk Domestik Regional Bruto, Jumlah Kendaraan Bermotor, dan Kepadatan Penduduk terhadap Kualitas Lingkungan Hidup di Pulau Jawa. Pendidikan Ekonomi, Ekonomi dan Administrasi, Fakultas Ekonomi, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, 2024. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah terdapat pengaruh pengaruh produk domestik regional bruto, jumlah kendaraan bermotor, dan kepadatan penduduk terhadap kualitas lingkungan hidup di Pulau Jawa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa data panel dari tahun 2011-2022 pada enam Provinsi di Pulau Jawa. Data disajikan setiap tahun yang diperoleh dari Badan Pusat Statistik dan Kementerian Kehutanan dan Lingkungan Hidup Republik Indonesia. Berdasarkan hasil analisis secara parsial, variabel produk domestik regional bruto berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kualitas lingkungan hidup di Pulau Jawa dilihat dari nilai probabilitas yang lebih kecil dari 0.05. Variabel jumlah kendaraan bermotor dan kepadatan penduduk berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap kualitas lingkungan hidup di Pulau Jawa dilihat dari nilai probabilitas yang lebih kecil dari 0.05. Secara simultan semua variabel penelitian berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kualitas lingkungan hidup dan memiliki pengaruh yang ditumjukkan Adjusted R-squared sebesar 72.33% menunjukkan bahwa semua variabel penelitian dapat menjelaskan variabel Y dan sisanya sebesar 26.67% dijelaskan oleh variabel lain diluar penelitian. ********** This research aims to investigate the influence of regional gross domestic product, the number of motor vehicles, and population density on the quality of the environment in Java Island. The research method used in this study involves panel data from 2011-2022 in six provinces on Java Island. Data are presented every year, obtained from the Central Statistics Agency and the Ministry of Forestry and Environment of the Republic of Indonesia. Based on the partial analysis results, the regional gross domestic product variable has a positive and significant effect on the quality of the environment in Java Island, as indicated by the probability value smaller than 0.05. The variables of the number of motor vehicles and population density have a negative and significant effect on the quality of the environment in Java Island, as indicated by the probability value smaller than 0.05. Simultaneously, all research variables have a significant effect on the quality of the environment, as indicated by the Adjusted R-squared of 72.33%, showing that all research variables can explain the Y variable, and the remaining 26.67% is explained by other variables outside the study.
