Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh psychological capital dan social support terhadap academic engagement pada mahasiswa bekerja. Menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan analisis multiple regression. Teknik purposive sampling dilakukan untuk mencari sampel dan memperoleh sebanyak 103 responden pada mahasiswa bekerja di Jabodetabek. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Utrecht Work Engagement Scale for Student (UWES-9S), Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS), Psychological Capital Questionnaire (PCQ-12). Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan dari psychological capital dan social support terhadap academic engagement baik secara simultan pada mahasiswa bekerja (0.000, p < 0.05 ; R2 0.411). Selain itu, secara parsial, social support ( 0.007 , p < 0.05) dan psychological capital (0.000, p < 0.05) juga berpengaruh signifikan pada academic engagement. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah memberikan kontribusi positif pada pengembangan penelitian pada variabel terkait, dan memberikan wawasan dan memberdayakan mahasiswa bekerja dengan pengetahuan terkait faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi academic engagement dalam hal ini adalah psychological capital dan social support. This study aims to investigate the influence of psychological capital and social support on academic engagement among working students. It employs a quantitative method with multiple regression analysis. Purposive sampling technique was used to select and obtain a total of 103 respondents from working students in Jabodetabek. The measurement instruments utilized in this research are the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale for Students (UWES-9S), Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS), and Psychological Capital Questionnaire (PCQ-12). The results indicate a positive significant simultaneous influence of both psychological capital and social support on academic engagement among working students (0.000, p < 0.05; R2 0.411). Additionally, both social support (0.007, p < 0.05) and psychological capital (0.000, p < 0.05) also individually significantly impact academic engagement. The implications of this research contribute positively to the development of related variable studies, providing insights, and empowering working students with knowledge regarding the factors influencing academic engagement, specifically psychological capital and social support.
