Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pet attachment terhadap loneliness mahasiswa. Pada penelitian metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan analisis regresi. Responden yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini merupakan mahasiswa aktif baik laki-laki maupun perempuan serta memiliki hewan peliharaan. Sampel pada penelitian ini dikumpulkan menggunakan metode non-probability sampling dengan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan membagikan kuesioner yang berisikan instrumen Lexington Attachment to Pet Scale (LAPS) yang terdiri dari 23 aitem dan UCLA Loneliness Scale Version 3 yang terdiri dari 20 aitem. Pada penelitian jumlah responden yang terkumpul adalah sebanyak 96 responden. Uji analisis statistik pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif pet attachment terhadap loneliness secara positif. Berdasarkan hasil uji regresi pada variabel pet attachment terhadap loneliness menghasilkan nilai R Square sebesar 0,081. Nilai tersebut menunjukkan bahwa variabel pet attachment memiliki pengaruh kepada loneliness sebesar 8,1%. This research aims to determine the effect of pet attachment on student college loneliness. In this research, the research method used is a quantitative research method with correlation analysis. This research aims to determine the role of pet attachment on loneliness in university students. In this research, the research method used is a quantitative research method with regression analysis. The respondents involved in this research were active students, both male and female, and had pets. The samples in this study were collected using a non-probability sampling method with purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique in this research was carried out by distributing questionnaires containing the Lexington Attachment to Pet Scale (LAPS) instrument which consists of 23 items and the UCLA Loneliness Scale Version 3 which consists of 20 items. In the research, the number of respondents collected was 96 respondents. The statistical analysis test in this study used simple linear regression. The results of the research found that there was a positive influence of pet attachment on loneliness. Based on the results of the regression test on the variable pet attachment to loneliness, it produces an R Square value of 0.081. This value indicates that the pet attachment variable has an influence on loneliness of 8,1%.
