Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk stimulasi tempat pembinaan bulu tangkis maupun keterlibatan pihak eksternal terhadap perkembangan executive function dan motorik kasar anak usia dini sehingga tujuan pembinaan atlet bulu tangkis sejak usia dini dapat tercapai. Sampel penelitian ini adalah anak berusia 6—8 tahun yang mengikuti program pembinaan atlet usia dini di PB Cerah Jakarta beserta pelatih dan orang tua. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik sampel bertujuan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa executive function yang didasari oleh memori mempengaruhi gerak dan tahapan motorik kasar anak usia dini yang mengikuti pembinaan atlet melalui eksplorasi dan stimulasi yang diberikan pelatih secara rutin dan berkelanjutan. Meskipun demikian, ditemui tantangan selama latihan, yaitu perkumpulan bulu tangkis masih kesulitan dalam mencari tenaga pelatih yang mampu memberi pendekatan yang menyenangkan sehingga komunikasi antara pelatih dan partisipan usia dini masih satu arah. Sehingga untuk meningkatkan memori anak terkait teknik dan gerakan bulu tangkis, diperlukan komunikasi dua arah dan bentuk komunikasi visual. Oleh karena itu, kolaborasi integratif antara tempat pembinaan atlet usia dini, lingkungan, serta kementerian terkait perlu ditingkatkan. Hal tersebut dilakukan agar program pembinaan atlet jangka panjang dapat berjalan optimal dan sesuai tahapan pembelajaran usia dini mampu berjalan selaras dengan perkembangan memori/executive function dan motorik kasar. ********** The research shows the stimulation programme provided by badminton athlete training can develop children’s executive function and gross motor skills to reach their goals in badminton. The sample in this research are participants in badminton athlete training, coaches, and parents. Purposive sampling is the sampling technique that the researcher chose. The method that the researcher implements is the qualitative method. Data are collected through a three-month observation and an interview. The research shows that constant and sustained physical activity affects the base of executive function, which is memory ability to move, and the development stage of gross motor skills of the children that participated in badminton athlete training. However, there are some issues that are found in badminton athlete training where it is challenging to find coaches that give fun approaches to children, which causes one-way communication from the coaches to the participants. If the communication works in two ways and visually, it helps the participants memorise the badminton skills better. Therefore, an integrated collaboration between badminton athlete training, the environment, and the related ministry is needed. Thus, long-term athlete development will be optimised and can go in line with the learning stages of children’s executive function and gross motor.
