Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penyelenggaraan salah satu program Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) yaitu Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) di Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Thailand. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk memberikan evaluasi kepada program IISMA yang masih tergolong baru. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian evaluasi dengan menggunakan model evaluasi context, input, process, dan product (CIPP) dan menggunakan sequential mixed methods. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni—September 2023. Penelitian dilakukan dengan melakukan wawancara terhadap dua awardees IISMA PSU tahun 2021 (AR dan PA), dua awardees IISMA PSU tahun 2022 (AM dan CI), Ketua Program IISMA (RS), Koordinator Region IISMA (AS), dan PSU International Affairs Officer (NS). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan kuesioner yang digunakan sebagai data pelengkap. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyelenggaraan program IISMA di PSU sudah sesuai dengan tujuan awal yang ingin dicapai oleh pihak IISMA, awardees, maupun PSU. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari kepuasan awardees terhadap service dan hospitality PSU selama penyelenggaraan IISMA di PSU. Para awardee mendapatkan banyak manfaat dari penyelenggaraan program IISMA di PSU termasuk ilmu pengetahuan, pengalaman, keahlian baru, dan koneksi kenalan. Sedangkan di sisi lain, awardees juga menjadi lebih percaya diri serta mengeksplor potensi yang ada pada diri mereka setelah mampu menyelesaikan segala tanggung jawab yang diberikan oleh IISMA selama di PSU. ********** This research aims to determine the implementation of one of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) programs, Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) at Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Thailand. Apart from that, this research also aims to provide an evaluation of the IISMA program which can be considered as a new program. This research is evaluation research using context, input, process and product (CIPP) model of evaluation with the sequential mixed methods. The research itself was conducted in June---September 2023. The research was conducted by interviewing two IISMA PSU awardees in 2021 (AR and PA), two IISMA PSU awardees in 2022 (AM and CI), Head of the IISMA Program (RS), IISMA Region Coordinator (AS), and PSU International Affairs Officer (NS). The research's data is collected by observation, interviews, documentation and surveys which were used as complementary data. The result shows that the IISMA program implementation at PSU is suitable with the initial program objectives to be achieved by IISMA, awardees, and PSU. This can be seen from the satisfaction of awardees towards PSU’s service and hospitality quality during their IISMA program at PSU. Awardees gained many benefits from the IISMA program at PSU including knowledge, experience, new skills, and connections. Meanwhile, on the other hand, awardees stated that they also become more confident and explore their potential more after being able to complete all the responsibilities given by IISMA while at PSU.
