Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas di SDN Sungai Bambu 03 kelas V-A dilakukan karena kurangnya kemampuan berpikir kritis pada pembelajaran PPKn. Hal ini terlihat pada hasil pre tes yang menunjukkan hasil 39,28% yang memperoleh skor kemampuan berpikir kritis ≥ 70. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SDN Sungai Bambu 03. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V-A dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 28 siswa. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Agustus-November 2023 semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan model siklus penelitian dari Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart. Penelitian tindakan kelas dilaksanakan melalui empat tahap yaitu perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi sebagai dasar perencanaan ulang untuk penelitian selanjutnya. Pada siklus I, kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran PPKn memperoleh persentase sebesar 67,85% yang mencapai skor kemampuan berpikir kritis ≥70. Pada siklus II memperoleh persentase sebesar 89,28% yang mencapai skor kemampuan berpikir kritis ≥70. Hal ini terjadinya peningkatan pada siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 21,43%. Selain itu, dilihat dari hasil lembar pemantau tindakan guru dan aktivitas siswa dengan menggunakan model Problem Based Learning dalam pembelajaran PPKn terjadi peningkatan. Pada siklus I hasil pemantau tindakan guru memperoleh persentase sebesar 80% dan hasil pemantau aktivitas siswa memperoleh persentase sebesar 70%. Saat siklus II terjadinya peningkatan pada pemantau tindakan guru memperoleh persentase sebesar 100% dan hasil pemantau aktivitas siswa memperoleh persentase sebesar 100%. Pembelajaran menggunakan model Problem Based Learning berbantuan media video dapat mengarahkan siswa pada masalah melalui video, melibatkan siswa aktif saat pembelajaran, menyajikan masalah agar siswa dapat mencari penjelasan dan Solusi pemecahan masalah, serta siswa dapat mengevaluasi hasil proses pemecahan masalah. Dengan demikian pembelajaran melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis pada pembelajaran PPKn siswa kelas V di SDN Sungai Bambu 03. ***** Classroom action research at SDN Sungai Bambu 03 class V-A was carried out because of the lack of critical thinking skills in Civics learning. This can be seen in the pre-test results which showed a result of 39.28% who obtained a critical thinking ability score ≥ 70. This research was conducted at SDN Sungai Bambu 03. The research subjects were students in class V-A with a total of 28 students. The research was conducted in August-November 2023, odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. This classroom action research was carried out using the research cycle model from Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. Classroom action research is carried out through four stages, namely action planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection as a basis for re-planning for further research. In cycle I, students' critical thinking skills in Civics learning obtained a percentage of 67.85% who achieved a critical thinking ability score of ≥70. In cycle II, a percentage of 89.28% achieved a critical thinking ability score of ≥70. This increased from cycle I to cycle II by 21.43%. Apart from that, judging from the results of the monitoring sheet of teacher actions and student activities using the Problem Based Learning model in Civics learning there was an increase. In cycle I, the results of monitoring teacher actions obtained a percentage of 80% and the results of monitoring student activities obtained a percentage of 70%. During cycle II, there was an increase in teacher action monitoring, getting a percentage of 100% and the results of student activity monitoring getting a percentage of 100%. Learning using the Problem Based Learning model assisted by video media can direct students to problems through video, involve students actively during learning, present problems so that students can seek explanations and solutions to problem solving, and students can evaluate the results of the problem solving process. Thus, learning through the application of the Problem Based Learning model can improve critical thinking skills in PPKn learning for class V students at SDN Sungai Bambu 03.
