Abstract

******ABSTRAK****** Penelitian ini mengkaji pemberdayaan perempuan yang ditemukan dalam lirik lagu Little Mix. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi makna tersembunyi dari lirik lagu Little Mix dan tipe-tipe pemberdayaan perempuan yang digunakan di lirik lagu Little Mix. Data diambil dari lirik lagu album kelima Little Mix yaitu LM5. Peneliti menganalisis lagu menggunakan teori konotasi dan denotasi milik Roland Barthes dan teori tipe-tipe pemberdayaan perempuan oleh Meenakshi Malhotra. Terdapat 7 lagu dari album Little Mix yang digunakan sebagai data. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif sebagai metode penelitian. Data dikumpulkan dengan mendengarkan lirik lagu Little Mix, membaca dengan seksama lirik lagu, dan mengidentifikasi lirik lagu. Peneliti membaca lirik lagu dari album kelima Little Mix untuk mengidentifikasi makna tersembunyi dan tipe pemberdayaan perempuan yang sesuai dengan topik penelitian ini. Ada 12 perangkat bahasa yang ditemukan di penelitian ini, 10 konotatif dan 2 denotatif. Dari data yang diperoleh, ada 3 tipe pemberdayaan perempuan yang dominan digunakan dalam lirik lagu Little Mix. Ada 1 pemberdayaan ekonomi, 2 pemberdayaan sosial, dan 7 pemberdayaan psikologis. Tipe pemberdayaan perempuan yang paling dominan di lirik lagu di album Little Mix adalah tipe pemberdayaan psikologis. ********ABSTRACT******* This study examined Women Empowerment found in Little Mix's song Lyrics. The purpose of this research was to identify hidden meaning found in the Little Mix's song lyrics and identify types of Women Empowerment used in the Little Mix's song lyrics. The data was taken from Little Mix's song lyrics from their fifth album called LM5. The researcher analyzes the study using Roland Barthes’s Connotative and Denotative and Meenakshi Malhotra’s Types of Women Empowerment. There were 7 songs from the album used as data. This research used qualitative research as the research method. The data was collected by listening to Little Mix's song lyrics, studying the song lyrics, and identifying the song lyrics. The researcher read the lyrics for the Little Mix's album LM5 to identify hidden meaning and women empowerment that relates to the topic of this study. There are 12 language devices found in this research, 10 connotative and 2 denotative. From the data obtained, there are 3 dominant types of women empowerment used in Little Mix's song lyrics. There are 1 economical empowerment, 2 social empowerment, and 7 psychological empowerment. The most dominant types of women empowerment from the song lyrics in Little Mix album is psychological empowerment.
