Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Prancis, Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. *******ABSTRAK********* Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kelas sosial yang terepresentasi dalam film La Belle et La Bête karya Christophe Gans. Sumber utama yang menjadi landasan untuk mengidentifikasi kelas sosial yaitu teori Karl Marx yang mencetuskan dua jenis kelas sosial, yakni kelas borjuis (la classe bourgeoisie) dan kelas proletar (la classe prolétariat). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode analisis isi serta mengimplementasikan pendekatan struktural karya sastra. Aktivitas menganalisis data pada sumber data dimulai dengan penjelasan unsur intrinsik film yang terdiri atas alur, sekuen, penokohan, serta latar. Data yang dianalisis dalam penelitian ini berupa kata, frasa, dan kalimat yang mengandung jenis kelas sosial dengan sumber data yaitu film La Belle et La Bête karya Christophe Gans. Teknik analisis data yang diaplikasikan merujuk pada teknik Miles dan Huberman, yaitu, reduksi data (data reduction), penyajian data (data display), dan penarikan kesimpulan (conclusion drawing). Hasil dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan memaparkan adanya 35 data temuan dalam film La Belle et La Bête karya Christophe Gans yang terindikasi ke dalam jenis kelas sosial. Jumlah data tersebut terbagi menjadi kelas borjuis (la classe bourgeoisie) sebanyak 18 kutipan yang terepresentasi oleh tokoh Bête, dan kelas proletar (la classe prolétariat) sebanyak 17 kutipan yang direpresentasikan oleh tokoh Belle. French Language Education Program of Study, Faculty of Language and Art, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. *******ABSTRACT******* This research aims to describe the social classes represented in the film La Belle et La Bête by Christophe Gans. The main source that is the basis for identifying social classes is Karl Marx's theory which created two types of social classes, namely the bourgeois class (la classe bourgeoisie) and the proletarian class (la classe prolétariat). This research uses a qualitative approach and content analysis method by implementing a structural approach to literary works. The activity of analyzing data from data sources begins with an explanation of intrinsic element of the film consisting of plot, sequence, characterization, and setting. The data analyzed in this research are words, phrases and sentences containing types of social class with the data source is the film La Belle et La Bête by Christophe Gans. The data analysis technique applied refers to the Miles and Huberman technique, namely, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the research that has been carried out reveal that there are 35 data findings in the film La Belle et La Bête by Christophe Gans which indicated into the type of social class. The amount of data is divided into the bourgeois class (la classe bourgeoisie) with 18 quotes represented by the character Bête, and the proletarian class (la classe prolétariat) with 17 quotes represented by the character Belle.
