Abstract

Muhammad Faiz, Persepsi Mahasiswa Pendidikan Sejarah Terhadap Program Magang Dan Studi Independen Bersertifikat (MSIB). Skripsi. Jakarta: Program Studi Pendidikan Sejarah, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, 2023. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali data empiris tentang persepsi mahasiswa angkatan 2020 dan 2021 Program Studi Pendidikan Sejarah Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Universitas Negeri Jakarta terhadap program Magang dan Studi Independen Bersertifikat (MSIB). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan teknik survei melalui penyebaran angket. Jumlah sampel populasi penelitian ini sebanyak 40 responden dari keseluruhan 157 mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Sejarah angkatan 2020 dan 2021. Teknik analisa data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif dengan menggunakan tabel frekuensi dan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 82,5% mahasiswa mengetahui tentang program MSIB, dimana sumber informasi paling banyak didapat dari media sosial. Mahasiswa mempersepsikan MSIB sebagai kegiatan magang atau studi di luar kampus yang bekerja sama dengan mitra-mitra dari berbagai jenis perusahaan di Indonesia. Mengenai sosialisasi program MSIB di Program Studi Pendidikan Sejarah, sebanyak 77,5% mahasiswa mempersepsikan bahwa sosialisasi di lingkup Program Studi masih kurang baik. Sehingga masih banyak mahasiswa yang kurang mengetahui alur, syarat pendaftaran, serta hak-hak dari program MSIB. Sebanyak 90% mahasiswa tertarik mengikuti program ini dan beranggapan akan mendapatkan pengalaman baru dan sertifikat penyelesaian yang dapat digunakan untuk mencari kerja setelah lulus. Mahasiswa juga mempersepsikan bahwa mereka tertarik untuk mengikuti kegiatan MSIB diluar relevansi Program Studi. Sebanyak 57,5% mahasiswa mengalami kendala dalam menggali informasi tentang program MSIB. Mahasiswa menganggap informasi yang diberikan masih terbatas terutama di lingkungan Perguruan Tinggi, Fakultas, dan Program Studi. Meski persepsi mahasiswa tentang program MSIB adalah positif dan memiliki ketertarikan untuk mengikuti program tersebut, namun kurangnya informasi mengenai syarat dan alur pendaftaran menjadi salah satu aspek kurangnya partisipasi mahasiswa dalam program MSIB. This study aims to gather empirical data on the perceptions of students from the 2020 and 2021 enrollment year of the History Education Program at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Jakarta State University, toward The Internship Program and Certified Independent Study (MSIB). This study uses descriptive research method with a survey technique through the distribution of questionnaires. The population sample of this study was 40 respondents out of a total of 157 History Education students from 2020 and 2021 enrollment year. The data analysis technique uses a descriptive analysis technique using frequency and percentage tables. The results showed that 82.5% of students know about the MSIB program, where the most information sources are obtained from social media. Students perceive MSIB as an internship or study activity outside campus that collaborates with partners from various types of companies in Indonesia. Regarding the socialization of the MSIB program in the History Education Program, 77.5% of students perceive that the socialization in the Study Program is still not good enough. So that there are still many students who do not know about the flow, registration requirements, and participant rights of the MSIB program. As many as 90% of students are interested in participating in this program and believe that they will get new experiences and completion certificates that can be used to find work after graduating. Students also perceive that they are interested in participating in MSIB activities outside the relevance of the Study Program. As many as 57.5% of students experience difficulties in obtaining information about the MSIB program. Students consider that the information provided is still limited, especially in the environment of Universities, Faculties, and Study Programs. Although students perception of the MSIB program is positive and they are interested in participating, the lack of information regarding the requirements and registration process is one of the aspects contributing to the low participation of students in the MSIB program.
