Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini secara garis besar bertujuan untuk mengetahui lebih dalam terkait penerapan prinsip andragogi pada in-house training karyawan Pizza Hut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian desktiptif. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah trainer, restaurant manager dan karyawan peserta in-house training yang diselenggarakan oleh Pizza Hut pada 29 Januari dan 5 Maret 2024. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan melalui proses observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Selanjutnya data yang diperoleh sebelumnya, dianalisis dengan adanya proses reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menemukan bahwa pelaksanaan in-house training yang diselenggarakan Pizza Hut telah sesuai dengan indikator in-house training yang terdiri dari pendidikan, prosedur sistematis, keterampilan teknis, mempelajari keterampilan, dan mengutakamakan praktik daripada teori. Penerapan prinsip andragogi pada in-house training karyawan Pizza Hut masih perlu ditingkatkan. Secara umum, prinsip andragogi seperti kebutuhan belajar, akumulasi pengalaman, kesiapan belajar, orientasi belajar sudah diterapkan dengan cukup baik. Namun, berkaitan dengan prinsip andragogi yang memiliki konsep diri dan motivasi belum diterapkan secara optimal. Kondisi tersebut terjadi karena rendahnya kesadaran akan tanggung jawab sebagai karyawan yang memasuki fase jenuh bekerja dan minimnya upaya untuk membangkitkan motivasi karyawan. Kata Kunci: Penerapan Andragogi, Prinsip Andragogi, In-House Training Karyawan Pizza Hut.   ABSTRACT This research largely aims to find out more about the application of andragogy principles in in-house training for Pizza Hut employees. This research uses qualitative research methods with descriptive research types. The subjects in this study are trainers, restaurant managers and employees participating in in-house training organized by Pizza Hut on January 29 and March 5, 2024. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out through a process of observation, interviews, and documentation. Furthermore, the data obtained previously was analyzed by the process of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study found that the implementation of in-house training organized by Pizza Hut was in accordance with the indicators of in-house training consisting of education, systematic procedures, technical skills, learning skills, and prioritizing practice over theory. The application of andragogy principles in the in-house training of Pizza Hut employees still needs to be improved. In general, andragogy principles such as learning needs, accumulated experience, learning readiness, learning orientation have been applied quite well. However, with regard to andragogy principles that have self-concept and motivation have not been applied optimally. This condition occurs due to the low awareness of responsibility as employees who are entering the saturation phase of work and the lack of efforts to generate employee motivation.
