Abstract

Dalam kegiatan wisata, informasi untuk membantu wisatawan dalam memhami bentuk maupun jenis aktivitas wisata. Pemberian informasi dapat dilakukan dalam berbagai bentuk seperti menyediakan ringkasan dari informasi detail secara langsung maupun menggunakan bantuan alat seperti papan tulisan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui situasi dan kondisi media interpretasi di penjara bawah tanah Museum Sejarah Jakarta dan merekomendasikan media interpretasi di penjara bawah tanah Museum Sejarah Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif yang dilaksanakan di Museum Sejarah Jakarta pada periode April – Mei tahun 2024 dengan metode wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media interpretasi di penjara bawah tanah saat ini kurang memadai, sehingga pengunjung kesulitan mendapatkan informasi dari penjara bawah tanah. Rekomendasi pengembangan media interpretasi di penjara bawah tanah Musem Sejarah Jakarta antara lain adalah dengan pengembangan media interpretasi personal dan non-personal. Implementasi media interpretasi yang lebih baik diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pengalaman dan menarik minat pengunjung. Information can be provided in various forms, such as providing a summary of detailed information directly or using tools such as whiteboards. This study aims to determine the situation and condition of the interpretation media in the Jakarta History Museum underground prison and recommend interpretation media in the Jakarta History Museum underground prison. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach carried out at the Jakarta History Museum in the period April - May 2024 using interview, observation, and documentation methods. The results of the study indicate that the interpretation media in the underground prison is currently inadequate, so visitors have difficulty getting information from the underground prison. Recommendations for developing interpretation media in the Jakarta History Museum underground prison include the development of personal and non-personal interpretation media. Implementation of better interpretation media is expected to improve the experience and attract visitors' interest.
