Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang user interface (UI) dan user experience (UX) pada website SMK Diponegoro 1 Jakarta menggunakan metode User Centered Design (UCD). Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemudahan penggunaan dan kepuasan pengguna dengan berfokus pada kebutuhan dan preferensi pengguna. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah User Centered Design yang melibatkan pengguna dalam setiap tahap perancangan, mulai dari analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, hingga evaluasi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, dan observasi terhadap pengguna yang terdiri dari siswa, guru, orang tua siswa, calon peserta didik dan orang tua calon peserta didik SMK Diponegoro 1 Jakarta. Prototipe website kemudian dikembangkan berdasarkan hasil analisis kebutuhan dan preferensi pengguna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan User Centered Design mampu menghasilkan desain UI dan UX yang lebih intuitif dan sesuai dengan ekspektasi pengguna. Pengujian usability yang dilakukan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam hal kemudahan navigasi, kecepatan akses informasi, dan kepuasan pengguna secara keseluruhan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa penerapan metode User Centered Design dapat secara efektif meningkatkan kualitas desain UI dan UX website, serta memberikan pengalaman pengguna yang lebih baik. Implementasi desain ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan interaksi dan keterlibatan pengguna dengan website SMK Diponegoro 1 Jakarta. This research aims to design the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) of the SMK Diponegoro 1 Jakarta website using the User-Centered Design (UCD) method. The primary goal of this research is to enhance usability and user satisfaction by focusing on user needs and preferences. The method employed in this research is User-Centered Design, which involves users in every design stage, from needs analysis and design to evaluation. Data collection was conducted through interviews and observations with users, including students, teachers, parents, prospective students, and parents of prospective students of SMK Diponegoro 1 Jakarta. The website prototype was then developed based on the results of the needs analysis and user preferences. The research findings indicate that the User-Centered Design approach can produce more intuitive UI and UX designs that meet user expectations. Usability testing showed a significant improvement in navigation ease, information access speed, and overall user satisfaction. The conclusion of this research is that the application of the User-Centered Design method can effectively improve the quality of UI and UX design for websites and provide a better user experience. This design implementation is expected to enhance user interaction and engagement with the SMK Diponegoro 1 Jakarta website.
