Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan sistem pendidikan yang digunakan Koningin Wilhelmina School untuk mencapai tujuan pendidikannya serta menjelaskan perkembangan Koningin Wilhelmina School melalui perubahan elemen sistem pendidikan yang digunakan agar dapat mengikuti perkembangan zaman. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian sejarah yang meliputi heuristik, kritik sumber, interpretasi, dan historiografi yang menggunakan model deskriptif naratif. Pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan sumber primer berupa arsip, koran dan buku sezaman serta sumber sekunder yang relevan dengan penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sistem pendidikan sangat menentukan bagaimana pendidikan itu akan berjalan dan mencapai tujuan pendidikannya. Sistem pendidikan Koningin Wilhelmina School dirancang dengan melihat komponen-komponen sistem pendidikan tersebut. Koningin Wilhelmina School selalu melakukan perombakan-perombakan pada elemen sistem pendidikan untuk mencapai tujuan pendidikannya, dengan mengikuti perkembangan yang terjadi di Hindia Belanda. Hal ini bertujuan agar sistem pendidikan yang digunakan Koningin Wilhelmina School tetap relevan dengan keadaan dan proses pendidikan dapat berjalan lancar yang nantinya dapat mencapai tujuan pendidikan secara maksimal. Perubahan-perubahan ini nyatanya membuat dampak tersendiri bagi Koningin Wilhelmina School. ******************* ***** This research aims to describe the education system used by Koningin Wilhelmina School to achieve its educational goals and explain the development of Koningin Wilhelmina School through changes to the education system used so that it can keep up with the times. The research method used in this research is a historical research method which includes heuristics, data verification, interpretation, and historiography using a descriptive narrative model. Research data collection uses primary sources in the form of archives, contemporary newspapers and books as well as secondary sources relevant to the research. The results of this research show that the education system greatly determines how education will run and achieve its educational goals. Koningin Wilhelmina School education system was designed by looking at the components of the education system. Koningin Wilhelmina School always makes changes to elements of the education system to achieve its educational goals, by following developments in the Dutch East Indies. This aims to ensure that the education system used by Koningin Wilhelmina School remains relevant to the situation and the education process can run smoothly, which will then achieve maximum educational goals. In fact, these changes have had their own impact on Koningin Wilhelmina School.
