Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) mengetahui mengenai peran posyandu dalam mencegah wasting; (2) mengetahui faktor penyebab anak mengalami wasting di wilayah Rw 021 Kelurahan Jatimakmur Kecamatan Pondok Gede. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan Kualitatif dan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, catatan lapangan dan dokumentasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam analisis data adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan atau verivikasi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah ketua kader posyandu, kader posyandu seksi gizi, bidan, Ahli gizi, 2 orang tua dari anak yang mengalami wasting dan 2 orang tua yang memiliki anak sehat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan (1) peran posyandu dalam mencegah wasting dengan melakukan program pencegahan serta penyuluhan kesehatan gizi, (2) faktor penyebab adanya wasting di wilayah Rw. 021 Kelurahan Jatimakmur Kecamatan Pondok Gede disebabkan karena faktor langsung yaitu asupan makanan yang kurang dan penyakit infeksi dan faktor masalah utama yaitu pengetahuan ibu tentang gizi dan ekonomi atau pendapatan keluarga Kata Kunci: Posyandu, Wasting, Anak ***** This research aims to: (1) understand the role of posyandu in preventing wasting; (2) identify the factors causing wasting among children in the Rw 021 area, Jatimakmur Village, Pondok Gede District. The research employs a descriptive method with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, field notes, and documentation. The methods used in data analysis are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing or verification. The subjects of this research are the head of posyandu cadres, posyandu nutrition section cadres, midwives, nutritionists, two parents of children experiencing wasting, and two parents of healthy children. The results of this study indicate (1) the role of posyandu in preventing wasting by implementing prevention programs and nutritional health education, (2) the factors causing wasting in the Rw 021 area, Jatimakmur Village, Pondok Gede District, are directly related to inadequate food intake and infectious diseases, as well as main issues such as mothers' knowledge about nutrition and family income or economic status.
