Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan metode Pembelajaran Read, Encode, Annotate, Ponder (REAP) Terhadap Keterampilan Menulis Teks Ulasan Pada Siswa Kelas 8 SMP Al Washliyah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan rancangan Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 8 SMP Al Washliyah. Dalam desain ini terdapat dua kelas yang dijadikan sampel, yaitu kelas 8A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas 8B sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil pemerolehan data terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah diberikan metode REAP. Rentang nilai tes awal menulis teks ulasan pada siswa kelas eksperimen berada pada nilai tertinggi 80 dengan nilai rata- rata sebesar 63. Rentang nilai tes akhir menulis teks ulasan pada siswa eksperimen tertinggi berada pada 97 dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 90. Selisih rata-rata antara nilai tes awal dan tes akhir adalah sebesar 27. Pemerolehan data di kelas eksperimen bahwa hasil pengujian hipotesis pada taraf signifikansi α = 0,05, terima H1 jika Thitung>Ttabel atau bisa dikatakan tolak H_0. Didapatkan hasil bahwa thitung=2,71dan ttabel=1,71 pengujian hipotesis ini adalah terima H1. Dengan demikian, bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada penggunaan metode REAP terhadap keterampilan menulis teks ulasan pada siswa kelas 8 SMP Al Washliyah. The range of initial test scores for writing review texts in the experimental class students was at the highest score of 80 with an average score of 63. The range of final test scores for writing review texts in the highest experimental students was 97 with an average score of 90. The average difference between the initial test score and the final test is 27. Data acquisition in the experimental class that the results of hypothesis testing at the significance level of α = 0.05, accept H1 if Thical>Ttable or it can be said to be rejected H0. It was obtained that tcal=2.71 and ttable=1.71 for testing this hypothesis is accept H1. Thus, there is a significant influence on the use of the REAP method on the writing skills of review texts in grade 8 students of Al Washliyah Junior High School.
