Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui prokrastinasi akademik santri pada mata pelajaran IPS Pondok Pesantren Homeschooling Sya’airullah, Bekasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII dan kelas VIII berjumlah 68 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, angket tertutup, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini diantaranya: 1. Prokrastinasi akademik santri pada mata pelajaran IPS dalam penyelesaian tugas IPS oleh santri baik, karena santri mempunyai rasa percaya diri akan tugas yang dikerjakannya dan menyadari mengerjakan tugas adalah suatu kewajiban. Kemudian santri juga cenderung tidak terlambat dalam setiap pengumpulan tugas IPS. Meski begitu, dalam perencanaan membaca materi IPS, santri sering tidak memperhitungkan waktu yang dibutuhkan, sehingga berakibat materi yang harus dipelajari untuk ulangan menjadi kurang maksimal. Ketika waktu senggang, santri lebih memilih aktifitas yang menyenangkan dibandingkan mengerjakan tugas IPS. 2. Hasil belajar IPS santri rendah tidak sepenuhnya disebabkan melakukan prokrastinasi akademik. Santri dengan nilai IPS rendah cenderung kurang dalam pemahaman materi IPS. Selain itu santri dengan nilai IPS rendah juga merasa materi IPS cukup banyak dan terkadang sulit untuk difahami. Sehingga ketika proses pembelajaran di kelas santri terliha ttidak bersemangat mengikuti pelajaran di kelas maupun menyelesaikan tugas IPS. Akibatnya tugas IPS yang dikerjakan hasilnya tidak serius dan kurang maksimal. This study aims to provide an overview of the academic procrastination conducted by students in Social Science Education of the Islamic Boarding School Homeschooling Sya'airullah, Bekasi. The research method used is descriptive. The Subject of this research is VII grade and VIII grade grade students totalling 68 students. Data collection techniques through observation, closed questionnaire, and interviews. The results of this research include: 1. Santri academic procrastination on social studies in completion the social studies assignment is good, because students have confidence in the work done and realize that doing the work is an obligation. Then students also tend not to be late in every social studies assignment. Even so, in planning to read social studies material, students often do not take into account the time required, so that the material that must be studied for the test becomes less than optimal. When leisure time, students prefer fun activities than doing social studies. 2. Santri learning outcomes is low are not entirely due to academic procrastination. Santri with low social studies scores tend to lack understanding of IPS material. Besides that santri with low social studies scores also felt that social studies material was quite a lot and sometimes difficult to understand. So that when the learning process in the santri class is seen not eager to follow the lessons in class or complete social studies assignments. As a result, the social work done by the results is not serious and less than optimal.
