Abstract

Keterbatasan bahan ajar BIPA yang sesuai dan kontekstual menghambat minat pelajar asing dalam mempelajari bahasa Indonesia, sehingga pengembangan bahan ajar BIPA yang dengan konteks keiindonesiaan menjadi suatu kebutuhan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar BIPA 1 berkonteks jalur rempah Nusantara bagi pelajar BIPA 1. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 1) Pengajar dan pelajar BIPA di Wisma Bahasa Yogyakarta, Pusat Kebudayaan Indonesia di Cairo, Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, KBRI Oslo, dan KBRI Kopenhagen membutuhkan bahan ajar yang berkonteks jalur rempah Nusantara; 2) Bahan ajar dirancang untuk meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi bahasa Indonesia dalam konteks budaya Nusantara menggunakan pendekatan komunikatif yang terdiri atas satu prawacana dan sembilan unit tema budaya Nusantara sesuai dengan daerah jalur rempah yang mencakup keterampilan berbahasa dan pengetahuan budaya yang dilengkapi ilustrasi dan kode batang, serta dirancang dengan berbagai latihan dan aktivitas; 3) Pengembangan bahan ajar meliputi empat langkah: penulisan draf awal, pembuatan media pembelajaran, validasi isi dan desain, serta revisi bahan ajar; 4) Bahan ajar dinilai “layak” oleh ahli materi nilai skor rerata 3.88 dan juga dinilai "layak" oleh ahli grafika dengan skor rerata 4.16; dan 5) Pengguna, baik pengajar BIPA maupun pelajar BIPA, memberikan nilai “sangat layak” untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran BIPA 1. Kata kunci: bahan ajar, BIPA, jalur rempah, jalur rempah Nusantara The limitations of appropriate and contextualised BIPA teaching materials hamper foreign students' interest in learning Indonesian, so the development of BIPA teaching materials with an Indonesian context is a necessity. This research aims to develop BIPA 1 teaching materials with the context of the Indonesian spice route for BIPA 1 students. This research uses the research and development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model. The results showed 1) BIPA teachers and students at Wisma Bahasa Yogyakarta, the Indonesian Cultural Centre in Cairo, Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, the Indonesian Embassy in Oslo, and the Indonesian Embassy in Copenhagen need teaching materials that are contextualised with the Indonesian spice route; 2) The teaching materials are designed to improve Indonesian communication skills in the context of Nusantara culture using a communicative approach consisting of one pre-discourse and nine units of Nusantara cultural themes in accordance with the spice route area which includes language skills and cultural knowledge equipped with illustrations and bar codes, and designed with various exercises and activities; 3) The development of teaching materials includes four steps: writing the initial draft, making learning media, validating content and design, and revising teaching materials; 4) Teaching materials were rated "feasible" by material experts with a mean score of 3.88 and also rated "feasible" by graphical experts with a mean score of 4.16; and 5) Users, both BIPA teachers and BIPA students, gave a score of "very feasible" for use in BIPA 1 learning.
