Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hasil belajar peserta didik yang menggunakan media Mentimeter pada mata pelajaran Mitigasi Bencana Kelas XI di SMAN 104 Jakarta. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan pretest-posttest control group design. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling dan dibagi menjadi kelas ekperimen dan kelas kontrol, masing�masing terdiri dari 33 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes dan observasi. Kelas eksperimen diajar menggunakan Mentimeter, sedangkan kelas kontrol diajar menggunakan PowerPoint. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa performa kedua kelas mengalami peningkatan. Namun, kelas eksperimen menunjukkan peningkatan yang relatif lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol dengan rata-rata nilai naik dari 57,42 menjadi 76,21, sedangkan nilai kelas kontrol meningkat dari 53,03 menjadi 65,91. Hasil pre-test dan post-test setiap pokok bahasan juga mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan terutama pada Konsep Mitigasi sebesar 84%. Namun, untuk Jenis dan Mitigasi Struktural & Non-struktural peningkatannya hanya sebesar 6%. Selain itu, hasil analisis uji t sampel independen memperoleh nilai signifikan (2- tailed) sebesar 0,002 <0,05, yang menunjukkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik di kelas XI IPS SMAN 104 Jakarta setelah menggunakan media Mentimeter dalam pembelajaran geografi. ***** This study aims to analyze the learning outcomes of students using Mentimeter in teaching the Disaster Mitigation to XI students at SMAN 104 Jakarta. The study was designed by using experimental method with pretest-posttest control group design. The sample of the study used purposive sampling technique and was equally divided into an experimental class and a control class of 33 students each. The data collection techniques used are tests and obervations. The experimental class was taught through the use of Mentimeter, while the control class was taught using PowerPoint. The findings showed that the performance of the two classs was improved. However, the experimental class demonstrated a relatively better improvement compared to the control class with the average score rising from 57.42 to 76.21, while the control class scores increased from 53.03 to 65.91. The pre-test and post-test results for each subject also experienced a significant increase, especially in the Mitigation Concept by 84%. However, for Structural & Non�structural Types and Mitigation the increase was only 6%. Moreover, the results of the independent sample t-test analysis obtained significant values (2-tailed) of 0.002 <0.05, indicating that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus, there is an increase in student learning outcomes in class XI IPS at SMAN 104 Jakarta after using Mentimeter in geography learning.
