Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dalam Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Pada Mata Pelajaran IPS Peserta Didik Kelas VIII SMPN 172 Jakarta. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan model Kemmis & Mc Taggart yang mencakup beberapa siklus dan masing-masing terdiri dari tahap tahap seperti perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Sasaran penelitian pada penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII-3 yang berjumlah 35 peserta didik. Penelitian dilakukan dalam 2 siklus dimana setiap siklus terdiri atas tiga kali pertemuan. Pada pelaksanaan siklus 1 persentase hasil belajar peserta didik yaitu sebesar 43% dengan nilai rata-rata 72. Kemudian, mengalami peningkatan pada siklus 2 sebesar 86% dengan nilai rata-rata 90. Lalu, dalam keaktifan peserta didik yang diukur dari aspek kemampuan bertanya, kemampuan menjawab, kemampuan berpendapat, dan kemampuan memecahkan masalah didominasi oleh peserta didik yang kurang aktif, belum terlihat peserta didik yang sangat aktif pada pelaksanaan siklus 1. Kemudian, pada pelaksanaan siklus 2 sudah mulai terlihat peserta didik yang sangat aktif pada aspek kemampuan bertanya, menjawab, berpendapat dan memecahkan masalah. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa ada peningkatan hasil belajar dan keaktifan peserta didik kelas VIII-3 SMPN 172 Jakarta setelah penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning. ***** This study aims to determine the Application of the Problem Based Learning Model in Improving Learning Outcomes in Social Studies Subjects for Class VIII Students at SMPN 172 Jakarta. The type of research used in this research is classroom action research using the Kemmis & Mc Taggart model which includes several cycles and each consists of stages such as planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research targets in this study were students in class VIII-3, totalling 35 students. The research was carried out in 2 cycles where each cycle consisted of three meetings. In the implementation of cycle 1, the percentage of student learning outcomes was 43% with an average score of 72. Then, there was an increase in cycle 2 of 86% with an average score of 90. Then, in terms of student activity as measured by the aspect of their ability to ask questions, the ability to answer, the ability to argue, and the ability to solve problems are dominated by students who are less active, there were no students who were very active in the implementation of cycle 1. Then, in the implementation of cycle 2 we started to see students who were very active in the aspects of their ability to ask and answer. , argue and solve problems. The research results prove that there is an increase in learning outcomes and the activity of class VIII-3 students at SMPN 172 Jakarta after implementing the Problem Based Learning learning model.
