Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh parental dan peer attachment terhadap game addiction pada siswa SMP. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif asosiatif dan pengambilan data dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni 2024. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner. Sampel penelitian dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 115 siswa. Hasil Penelitian menunjukan bahwa game addiction termasuk dalam kategori tinggi, parental attachment termasuk dalam kategori rendah dan peer attachment termasuk dalam kategori rendah. Hasil uji regresi menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara parental attachment serta peer attachment terhadap game addiction (0,000 < 0,05). Hasil signifikansi regresi menunjukan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara game addiction terhadap parental dan peer attachment pada siswa (0,000 < 0,05). Oleh karena itu, perlunya peran orangtua dan teman sebaya dalam mengurangi kecanduan bermain game untuk mendukung kesuksesan hasil belajar siswa. Kata Kunci: game addiction, parental dan peer attachment, siswa ***** This study aims to determine the effect of parental and peer attachment on game addiction in junior high school students. The research method uses an associative quantitative approach and data collection was carried out in June 2024. The research was conducted by distributing questionnaires. The research sample was selected using purposive sampling technique with a total of 115 respondents. The results showed that game addiction was in the high category, parental attachment was in the low category and peer attachment was in the low category. The regression test results show that there is a significant influence between parental attachment and peer attachment on game addiction (0.000 <0.05). The results regression significance show that there is a significant influence between game addiction on parental and peer attachment in students (0.000 <0.05). Therefore, the need for the role of parents and peers in reducing addiction to playing games to support the success of student learning outcomes.
