Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Locus of control terhadap pemilihan keputusan karir siswa di industri perhotelan. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif asosiatif dengan metode survei. Pengambilan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa SMK Negeri 33 Jakarta, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 105 responden dengan kriteria siswa jurusan perhotelan dan sudah melaksanakan praktik kerja industri yang dipilih dengan teknik Stratified Random Sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Locus of control berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pemilihan keputusan karir siswa di industri perhotelan. Artinya, semakin tinggi Locus of control yang dimiliki seorang siswa, semakin baik mereka dalam membuat keputusan karir yang matang dan terarah. Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa Locus of control memiliki dampak signifikan terhadap keputusan karir siswa di industri perhotelan, sehingga pendidikan harus fokus pada pengembangan Locus of control yang positif melalui program pelatihan dan bimbingan karir, serta melibatkan orang tua dalam proses pendidikan. Kebijakan sekolah yang mendukung pengambilan keputusan independen akan membuat siswa lebih siap dan percaya diri dalam merencanakan karir, meningkatkan peluang kesuksesan mereka di masa depan. ***** This study aims to analyze the influence of Locus of control on the selection of students' career decisions in the hospitality industry. The method used is quantitative associative with the survey method. Data collection in this study used a questionnaire. Data collection in this study used a questionnaire. The population in this study is students of SMK Negeri 33 Jakarta, with a sample of 105 respondents with the criteria of students majoring in hospitality and have carried out industrial work practices selected with the Stratified Random Sampling technique. The results of this study show that Locus of control has a positive and significant effect on the choice of students' career decisions in the hospitality industry. This means that the higher the Locus of control a student has, the better they will be at making mature and purposeful career decisions. The study also shows that Locus of control has a significant impact on students' career decisions in the hospitality industry, so education should focus on developing a positive Locus of control through career training and guidance programs, as well as involving parents in the educational process.
