Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh burnout terhadap work engagement pada karyawan perusahaan startup fintech di Jabodetabek. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan data yang digunakan yaitu non-probability sampling dengan jenis purposive sampling. Sample pada penelitian ini sebanyak 131 orang karyawan yang bekerja di perusahaan startup fintech di wilayah Jabodetabek. Alat ukur yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu Maslach-Trisni Burnout Inventory (MTBI) untuk mengukur burnout dan Utrecth Work Engagement Scale (UWES) untuk mengukur work engagement. MTBI dirancang oleh Maslach (1997) dan telah diadaptasi ke bahasa Indonesia oleh Widhianingtanti & van Luijtelaar (2022) sedangkan UWES dikembangkan oleh Schaufeli & Bakker (2004) dan telah diadaptasi ke bahasa Indonesia oleh Nurrusma (2019). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa burnout tidak dapat memperlemah work engagement pada karyawan startup fintech di Jabodetabek. Burnout mempengaruhi work engagement sebesar 27,1%. ***** This study aims to determine how burnout affects work engagement in employees of fintech startup companies in Jabodetabek. This research uses quantitative methods. The data collection technique used is non-probability sampling with purposive sampling. The sample in this study was 131 employees who work at fintech startup companies in the Jabodetabek area. The measuring instruments used in this study are the Maslach-Trisni Burnout Inventory (MTBI) to measure burnout and the Utrecth Work Engagement Scale (UWES) to measure work engagement. MTBI was designed by Maslach (1997) and has been adapted to Indonesian by Widhianingtanti & van Luijtelaar (2022) while UWES was developed by Schaufeli & Bakker (2004) and has been adapted to Indonesian by Nurrusma (2019). The results showed that burnout could not be able to weaken work engagement in fintech startup employees in Jabodetabek. Burnout affects work engagement by 27.1%.
