Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk menganalisis kebiasaan peserta didik SMPN 36 Jakarta dalam bertutur kata serta menganalisis upaya sekolah dalam menanamkan nilai sopan santun dalam bertutur kata kepada peserta didik melalui budaya sekolah TITATIF (Tiada Kata Negatif). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Sumber data primer diperoleh dari observasi dan wawancara oleh dua belas informan peserta didik, dua key informan guru bimbingan dan konseling selaku pencetus program dan kepala sekolah, dua informan tambahan yaitu guru dan penjual kantin. Sumber data sekunder diperoleh melalui dokumentasi berupa kajian literatur seperti artikel jurnal, buku dan arsip sekolah berupa jurnal pemantauan. Teknik keabsahan data yaitu menggunkan triangulasi data dan expert opinion. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu pengungmpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Temuan dalam penelitian ini ialah bahwa kebiasaan peserta didik dalam betutur kata di sekolah ialah dengan menggunakan tuturan kata bermakna kearifan atau kebijaksanaan seperti kata izin, permisi, maaf dan tolong. Selain itu, peserta didik menggunakan tuturan kata bermakna pujian atau penghargaan seperti terimakasih, salam dan sapa. Sedangkan upaya sekolah dalam menanamkan nilai sopan santun dalam bertutur kata kepada peserta didik ialah dengan mewujudkan budaya sekolah TITATIF (Tiada Kata Negatif) melalui keteladanan guru, sosialisasi TITATIF (Tiada Kata Negatif), mengintegrasikan TITATIF (Tiada Kata Negatif) dalam jam pembelajaran, dibuatnya agen pemantauan pada tiap kelas, dan adanya reward atau punishment. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pesserta didik menunjukan nilai sopan santun dalam bertutur kata. Sedangkan budaya sekolah TITATIF (Tiada Kata Negatif) yang ada di SMPN 36 Jakarta dapat menamkan nilai sopan santun dalam bertutur kata kepada peserta didik. Kata Kunci: Penanaman, Nilai, Sopan Santun, Budaya Sekolah, Peserta Didik. ******** This study aims to analyze the speaking habits of students at SMPN 36 Jakarta and to evaluate the school's efforts in instilling the values of politeness in speech through the school culture of TITATIF (No Negative Words). This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Primary data sources were obtained from interviews with twelve student informants, two key informants who are guidance and counseling teachers (as the program initiators), the principal, and two additional informants, namely teachers and a canteen vendor. Secondary data sources were gathered through documentation, including literature reviews of journal articles, books, and school archives in monitoring journals. The techniques for ensuring data validity included data triangulation and expert opinion. The data analysis techniques used were data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings of this study indicate that students' speaking habits at school involve using words that convey wisdom or politeness, such as permission, excuse me, sorry, and please. Additionally, students use words that express praise or appreciation, such as thank you, greetings, and salutations. The school's efforts to instill the values of politeness in speech among students are realized through the implementation of the TITATIF (No Negative Words) school culture by setting examples through teachers, socializing TITATIF (No Negative Words), integrating TITATIF (No Negative Words) into lesson hours, appointing monitoring agents in each class and providing rewards or punishments. This study concludes that students demonstrate politeness in their speech. Meanwhile, the TITATIF (No Negative Words) school culture at SMPN 36 Jakarta can instill the value of politeness in speech among students.
