Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan air dan potensi panen air hujan di Pulau Untung Jawa, Kabupaten Kepulauan Seribu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan analisis deskriptif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah rumah tangga yang berada di Pulau Untung Jawa berjumlah 87 orang responden dengan menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel acak sederhana. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Untuk menghitung potensi pemanenan air hujan dapat dilakukan dengan menghitung yaitu dengan perkalian luas atap bangunan, koefisien limpasan, dan rata-rata curah hujan. Dari hasil penelitian, keseluruhan atap rumah/ bangunan di Pulau Untung Jawa adalah 48.298,00 m2 dengan rata-rata intensitas curah hujan 0144,92 mm/tahun dan koefisien limpasan sebesar 0,80. Potensi panen air hujan adalah 5.599.283,74 liter/ bulan. Kemudian hasil dari wawancara dengan anggota rumah tangga responden di Pulau Untung Jawa diperoleh rata-rata penggunaan air per orang mencapai 133,87 liter/ hari dengan jumlah anggota rumah tangga sebagian besar sebanyak 4 orang, sehingga jumlah penggunaan air untuk kebutuhan rumah tangga perbulannya sebesar 16.064,40 liter. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa potensi pemanenan air hujan mampu untuk memenuhi kebutuhan air bersih sebanyak 349 rumah tangga setiap bulannya. Sehingga, penggunaan air hujan dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif dalam pemenuhan sumber air bersih rumah tangga di Pulau Untung Jawa. This research aims to determine water usage and the potential rainwater harvesting in Untung Jawa Island, Seribu Islands. This research uses a quantitative method with descriptive analysis. Sample on this research is households in Untung Jawa Island with 87 respondents using a simple random sampling technique. The data used in this research are primary data and secondary data. To calculate the potential for rainwater harvesting can be determined by calculating of roof area, runoff coefficient, and rainfall average. The result shows the overall roof of the house/building in Untung Jawa island is 48.298,00 m2 with an average rainfall intensity of 144,92 mm/year and runoff coefficient 0,80. Rainwater harvest potential is 14.558.562,74 liter/ month. Then the results of interviews with household members of respondents on the island of Untung Java obtained an average water use per person reached 133,87 liters / day with the number of household members mostly as many as 4 people, so the amount of water use for household needs per month is 16.064,40 liters. Based on the results of the study showed that the potential for rainwater harvesting is able to meet the needs of clean water as many as 349 households every month. Thus, the use of rain water can be used as an alternative to the fulfillment of household water sources on the island of Untung Jawa. Keywords: Rainwater Harvesting, Rainwater, Household Water Needs
