Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran pemahaman konseptual peserta didik pada pembelajaran hukum dasar kimia menggunakan model pembelajaran Team Assisted Individualization (TAI). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2023/2024 di kelas X.E-6 SMA Negeri 22 Jakarta dengan melibatkan 31 peserta didik. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui catatan guru, lembar observasi, reflektif jurnal, wawancara, lembar kerja peserta didik, dan tes pemahaman konseptual yang berdasarkan kepada aspek pemahaman konseptual menurut Anderson dan Krathwohl (2001). Tingkat pemahaman yang dimiliki oleh peserta didik akan dianalisis dan dikategorikan berdasarkan skema evaluasi konsep yang dikembangkan oleh Abraham, Grzybowsk, dan Renner (1992) yaitu paham, paham sebagian, paham sebagian dengan miskonsepsi, miskonsepsi, tidak paham, dan tidak respon. Model pembelajaran TAI terdiri atas delapan tahapan yaitu, placement test, teams, teaching group, student creative, team study, whole class units, fact test, dan team recognition. Hasil analisis terhadap pemahaman konseptual peserta didik menunjukkan sebagian peserta didik berada pada kategori “paham”. Persentase tertinggi untuk kategori “paham” terdapat pada aspek mengklasifikasikan dengan nilai 76.61%. Persentase terendah untuk kategori “paham” terdapat pada aspek merangkum dengan nilai 5.65%. Berdasarkan data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran TAI dapat membantu meningkatkan keaktifan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran dan membantu peserta didik dalam memahami konsep pada materi hukum dasar kimia. ***** This research aims to describe students' understanding of concepts in learning the basic laws of chemistry using the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) learning model. This research uses a qualitative method. The research was carried out in the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year in class X.E-6 of SMA Negeri 22 Jakarta involving 31 students. Research data was collected through teacher notes, observation sheets, reflective journals, interviews, student worksheets, and concept understanding tests based on aspects of concept understanding according to Anderson and Krathwohl (2001). The level of understanding possessed by students will be analyzed and recommended based on the concept evaluation scheme developed by Abraham, Grzybowsk, and Renner (1992), namely understanding, partially understanding, partially understanding with misconceptions, misconceptions, not understanding, and not responding. The TAI learning model consists of eight stages, namely, placement tests, teams, teaching groups, student creativity, team learning, whole class units, fact tests, and team introduction. The results of the analysis of participants' conceptual understanding show that some students are in the “understand” category. The highest percentage for the “understanding” category is in the classifying aspect with a value of 76.61%. The lowest percentage in the “understanding” category is in the summarizing aspect with a value of 5.65%. Based on these data, it can be concluded that the application of the TAI learning model can help increase student activity in learning and help students understand concepts in basic chemical law material.
