Abstract

Dalam era digital saat ini akses informasi begitu melimpah dan komunikasi terjadi tanpa batas, kemampuan untuk memahami, mengevaluasi, dan mengakses informasi secara efektif di platform online menjadi sangat penting. Kecenderungan penggunaan internet dikalangan remaja semakin meningkat dan cenderung berlebihan, dan dalam jangka panjang dapat mengakibatkan dampak negatif dan menimbulkan masalah. Literasi internet mencakup pemahaman komprehensif tentang cara memanfaatkan internet dengan aman, etis, dan produktif. Hal ini membuat individu dengan kemampuan tersebut dapat membedakan sumber yang kredibel dan sumber yang menyesatkan, mengevaluasi informasi secara kritis, dan berkomunikasi secara online secara efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat literasi internet pada siswa sekolah menengah pertama. Pada penelitian ini, dengan ini peneliti akan menggunakan rumus Slovin, Maka berdasarkan rumus tersebut diperoleh sampel sebanyak 159 siswa (Responden). Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif, data tersebut dikategorikan menjadi lima kategori yaitu sangat rendah (<111), rendah (112-125), cukup (126-139), tinggi (140-160), dan sangat tinggi (>161). Berdasarkan penelitian ini kesimpulan didapatkan bahwa variabel literasi internet termasuk pada kategori tinggi sebesar 72,3%. Adapun dimensi yang paling tinggi pada variabel internet literacy adalah pengetahuan dan keterampilan untuk internet sebesar 75,5% berada pada kategori tinggi, kemudian diikuti dimensi interaksi internet, pembelajaran otonom di internet, kesadaran kognisi internet dan yang paling sangat rendah adalah manajemen mandiri internet. ******* In today's digital era, access to information is so abundant and communication occurs without limits, the ability to understand, disseminate, and access information effectively on online platforms is very important. The tendency of internet use among teenagers is increasing and tends to be excessive, and in the long term it can have negative impacts and cause problems. Internet literacy includes a comprehensive understanding of how to use the internet safely, ethically, and productively. This allows individuals with these abilities to distinguish between credible sources and sources that disseminate, transmit critically, and communicate online effectively. This study aims to determine the level of internet literacy in junior high school students. In this study, the researcher will use the Slovin formula, so based on this formula a sample of 159 students (Respondents) was obtained. The data was analyzed using descriptive analysis, the data was grouped into five categories, namely very low (<111), low (112-125), sufficient (126-139), high (140-160), and very high (> 161). Based on this study, it was concluded that the internet literacy variable is included in the high category of 72.3%. Meanwhile, the highest dimension in the internet literacy variable is knowledge and skills for using the internet, which is 75.5% in the high category, then followed by the dimensions of internet interaction, autonomous learning on the internet, internet cognitive awareness and the lowest is internet self-management.
