Abstract
Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat pengaruh kepuasan warna kulit terhadap self-esteem pada emerging adulthood di Indonesia. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 294 orang dengan kriteria laki-laki dan perempuan, berumur 18-25 tahun, dan Warga Negara Indonesia. Kuesioner disusun menggunakan adaptasi alat ukur Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale (RSES), dan Skin Color Satisfaction Scale (SCSS). Pengujian dilakukan menggunakan SPSS versi 27 dengan uji regresi untuk melihat pengaruh antar kedua variabel. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kepuasan warna kulit berpengaruh sebesar 11,3% terhadap self-esteem pada emerging adulthood. Dengan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa hipotesis penelitian ini diterima. ***** This study was conducted to examine the influence of skin color satisfaction on self- esteem in emerging adulthood in Indonesia. The sample for this study consisted of 294 individuals, including both males and females, aged 18-25 years, and Indonesian citizens. The questionnaire was developed using adaptations of the Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale (RSES) and the Skin Color Satisfaction Scale (SCSS). Testing was conducted using SPSS version 27 with regression tests to observe the influence between the two variables. The results of this study indicated that skin color satisfaction has an 11.3% influence on self-esteem in emerging adulthood. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the hypothesis of this study is accepted.
