Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh antara status sosial ekonomi orang tua dan motivasi belajar terhadap minat melanjutkan pendidikan ke perguruan tinggi pada siswa kelas XI SMK Negeri 22 Jakarta. Metode penelitian yang peneliti gunakan adalah metode survei. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik proposional random sampling. Populasi yang digunakan adalah siswa kelas XI SMK Negeri 22 Jakarta sebanyak 281 siswa dengan jumlah sampel 165 responden. Model penelitian ini menggunakan model analisis regresi berganda. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner dengan skala likert dan skala rating yang dioperasikan dengan program SPSS versi 29.0. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) Status sosial ekonomi orang tua berpengaruh terhadap minat melanjutkan pendidikan ke perguruan tinggi. (2) Motivasi belajar berpengaruh terhadap minat melanjutkan pendidikan ke perguruan tinggi. (3) Status sosial ekonomi orang tua dan motivasi belajar berpengaruh terhadap minat melanjutkan pendidikan ke perguruan tinggi. Maka dapat disimpulkan jika status sosial ekonomi orang tua tinggi, maka minat siswa untuk melanjutkan pendidikannya juga tinggi. Dan pada variabel motivasi belajar hendaknya siswa berperan aktif dan tekad dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar agar kemauan untuk melanjutkan pendidikan semakin terarah dan terencana. ***** This study aims to determine the effect of parents' socioeconomic status and learning motivation on interest in continuing education to college in class XI students of SMK Negeri 22 Jakarta. The research method that researchers use is the survey method. The sampling technique in this study used proportional random sampling technique. The population used was class XI students of SMK Negeri 22 Jakarta totaling 281 students with a sample size of 165 respondents. This research model uses multiple regression analysis models. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire with a Likert scale and a rating scale operated with the SPSS version 29.0 program. The results of this study indicate that (1) Parents' socioeconomic status affects the interest in continuing education to college. (2) Learning motivation affects the interest in continuing education to college. (3) The socioeconomic status of parents and learning motivation affect the interest in continuing education to college. So it can be concluded that if the socioeconomic status of parents is high, then students' interest in continuing their education is also high. And in the learning motivation variable, students should play an active and determined role in teaching and learning activities so that the willingness to continue their education is more directed and planned.
