Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh smartphone addiction terhadap kecemasan remaja. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data teknik purposive sampling. Peneliti mengadopsi instrumen Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale (DASS-21) dan Smartphone Addiction Scale – Short Version (SAS-SV). Sampel berjumlah 114 responden yaitu remaja usia 18-21 tahun dan memiliki smartphone. Metode pengolahan data menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian. Hasil penelitian menemukan adanya pengaruh signifikan dan bersifat positif. Besar pengaruh yang dihasilkan smartphone addiction terhadap kecemasan adalah 18,5% dan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Kata Kunci: Smartphone Addiction, Kecemasan, Remaja ***** This study aims to investigate the impact of smartphone addiction on anxiety in adolescents. A quantitative method with purposive sampling technique was used to collect data. The instruments used in this study were the Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale (DASS-21) and the Smartphone Addiction Scale-Short Version (SAS-SV). The sample consisted of 114 adolescents aged 18-21 who own smartphones. A simple regression analysis was conducted to test the hypothesis. The results revealed a significant impact of smartphone addiction on adolescent anxiety, accounting for 18.5% of the variance in anxiety levels, with the remaining 81.5% influenced by other factors.
