Abstract

Penelitian ini meneliti variabel creative self-efficacy, sebuah konsep spesifik dari teori self-efficacy Bandura. Creative self-efficacy (CSE) adalah keyakinan tentang kemampuan diri sendiri untuk mengelola tantangan kreatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji validitas item-item dalam Short Scale of Creative Self (SSCS), sebuah alat ukur yang dikembangkan oleh Maciej Karwowski pada tahun 2011. SSCS dirancang untuk mengukur sifat CSE dan creative personal identity (CPI; keyakinan bahwa kreativitas adalah elemen penting dari deskripsi diri) dengan meminta responden untuk mengindikasikan sejauh mana ia menyertakan konstruk tersebut sebagai bagian dari dirinya dalam skala Likert 5 poin. SSCS terdiri dari 11 item dengan enam item mengukur CSE dan lima item mengukur CPI. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) dengan aplikasi statistik MPlus versi 7, terhadap 509 mahasiswa di Indonesia untuk menguji validitas instrumen. Uji CFA yang dilakukan adalah model satu faktor dan model multifaktor. Hasil uji CFA menunjukkan bahwa model multifaktor (CSE: p-value = 0.1048, RMSEA 0.040; CPI: p-value = 0.2247, RMSEA = 0.031) lebih baik daripada model satu faktor (p-value = 0.0640, RMSEA = 0.031). Hasil uji CFA juga menunjukkan bahwa item-item valid, dengan factor loading > 0.5. Creative self-efficacy (CSE) is a conviction about one’s own capabilities to manage creative challenges. This study aims to test the validity of items on the Short Scale of Creative Self (SSCS), a measuring instrument that was developed by Maciej Karwowski in 2011. SSCS was designed to measure trait-like CSE and creative personal identity (CPI; the belief that creativity is an important element of self-description) by asking respondents to indicate the degree to which they include the construct as part of who they are on a 5-point Likert scale. The SSCS is composed of 11 items with six items measuring CSE and five items measuring CPI. This study uses the Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) method with statistical application MPlus version 7, on 509 students in Indonesia to test the validity of the instrument. The CFA test conducted was a one-factor model and a multifactor model. The CFA test results showed that the multifactor model (CSE: p-value = 0.1048, RMSEA 0.040; CPI: p-value = 0.2247, RMSEA = 0.031) was better than the one-factor model (p-value = 0.0640, RMSEA = 0.031). The CFA test results also showed that the items were valid, with factor loading > 0.5. Keywords: creative self-efficacy, construct validity, confirmatory factor analysis.
