Abstract

Pendidikan karakter mengacu pada Undang-Undang Nomor 20 pada tahun 2003 bertujuan untuk membentuk kepribadian tangguh yang sesuai dengan identitas bangsa Indonesia. Salah satu tantangan untuk menerapkan pendidikan karakter adalah perkembangan teknologi yang begitu cepat pada generasi saat ini namun tidak dibarengi dengan benteng karakter yang kuat. pendidikan karakter melalui keteladanan seorang pemimpin kharismatik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan kepemimpinan kharismatik pondok pesantren Az-Ziyadah Jakarta Timur dalam proses pendidikan karakter pada generasi Z. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan pembahasan yang digunakan dalam hasil penelitian ini merupakan hasil wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemimpin pondok pesantren berusaha untuk menjadi teladan bagi para santri. Pondok Pesantren Az-Ziyadah menjalankan program kegiatan yang berkaitan dengan ilmu akhirat dan pembiasaan-pembiasaan religi serta akhlakul karimah diantaranya dengan pembiasaan sholat berjamaah dan tadarus al-qur’an selepas subuh serta membaca kitab kuning. Character education refers to Law Number 20 of 2003 which aims to form a strong personality that is in accordance with the identity of the Indonesian nation. One of the challenges in implementing character education is the rapid development of technology in the current generation but it is not accompanied by a strong stronghold of character. character education through the example of a charismatic leader. This research aims to describe the charismatic leadership of the Az-Ziyadah Islamic boarding school in East Jakarta in the character education process for generation Z. This research uses a qualitative approach with the discussion used in the results of this research being the result of interviews and observations. The research results show that Islamic boarding school leaders try to be role models for the students. The Az-Ziyadah Islamic Boarding School runs a program of activities related to the knowledge of the afterlife and religious habits and good morals, including the habit of praying in congregation and reciting the Al-Qur’an after dawn and reading the yellow book
