Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif snowball throwing terhadap hasil belajar Pendidikan Pancasila peserta didik kelas X SMA Negeri 15 Tangerang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen yang dilakukan di kelas X-3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X-7 sebagai kelas kontrol. Masing-masing kelas terdiri dari 36 peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan nilai rata-rata antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Rata-rata kelas eksperimen adalah 85,83 dan rata-rata kelas kontrol adalah 77,78. Nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen memiliki selisih 8,03 lebih besar dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Perbedaan ini juga dapat dilihat dari peningkatan rata-rata hasil belajar pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 22% dan pada kelas kontrol sebesar 18%. Serta peningkatan jumlah peserta didik mencapai KKM sebesar 50% di kelas eksperimen dan 23% di kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan independent t-test, diketahui thitung > ttabel (3,084 > 1,994) dan nilai signifikansinya kurang dari 0,05 (p = 0,003 < 0,05) yang menunjukkan adanya pengaruh pembelajaran snowball throwing terhadap hasil belajar. Selanjutnya, berdasarkan uji effect size diperoleh nilai 0,726 dan masuk ke dalam kategori sedang. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe snowball throwing memiliki pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila peserta didik kelas X di SMA Negeri 15 Tangerang. ***** The aim of this research is to ascertain the effects of the snowball throwing model on learning outcome of Civic Education among tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 15 Tangerang. This study employs a Quasi-Experimental design utilized two classes: experimental class dan control class. Class X-3 functioned as experimental class and Class X-7 as control class, both classes have 36 students. This can be observed from the difference in the mean score between experimental class and control class.The mean score for experimental class is 85.83, while the mean score for control class is 77.78. Experimental class’ mean score exhibits a difference of 8,03 points larger than control class. This difference is also reflected in the average improvement in learning outcomes, which increased by 22% in the experimental group compared to 18% in the control group. Additionally, the increase in the number of students achieving the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM) was 50% in the experimental group and 23% in the control group. The hypothesis testing using an independent t-test yielded a t-value (3.084) > t-value (1.994), with a significance level (p = 0.003 < 0.05), indicating a significant impact of the snowball throwing learning model on learning outcomes. The effect size analysis resulted in a value of 0.726, suggesting an effect on the learning outcomes in medium level. In conclusion, this research indicate that snowball throwing cooperative learning model positively impact students’ learning outcomes in Civic Education for tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 15 Tangerang.
