Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemandirian peserta pelatihan keterampilan tata boga yang terbentuk setelah mengikuti pelatihan berdasarkan self-assessment atau penilaian mandiri yang dilakukan masing-masing individu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik wawancara, angket, dan observasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif deskriptif dengan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta pelatihan keterampilan tata boga mempunyai kemandirian yang mengacu pada lima dimensi kemandirian, yaitu percaya diri, disiplin, tanggung jawab, berperilaku sesuai inisiatif, dan kontrol diri. Berdasarkan data informasi yang didapat dari self-assessment oleh para peserta, pelatihan ini membuat mereka mampu memasak berbagai macam makanan, mulai dari camilan, kue, dan makanan berat. Mereka menilai dirinya percaya diri untuk memulai wirausaha setelah bebas dengan berbekal pengalaman dan keterampilan yang didapat selama mengikuti pelatihan, sehingga tidak mengulangi perbuatannya lagi. Maka pihak lapas dapat menyusun strategi untuk menarik minat warga binaan lain agar mau bergabung mengikuti pelatihan keterampilan tata boga, berhubung pelatihan hanya diikuti oleh lima peserta. Salah satu strategi yang dapat digunakan adalah menginformasikan keuntungan mengikuti pelatihan, yaitu berpeluang mendapatkan remisi. ***** This research aims to describe the independence of participants in culinary skills training that developed after attending the training, based on self-assessment conducted by each individual. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, and observations. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively using descriptive methods, including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that culinary skills training participants exhibit independence across five dimensions: self-confidence, discipline, responsibility, initiative-driven behavior, and self-control. Based on self-assessment data from the participants, the training enabled them to cook a variety of foods, including snacks, cakes, and main courses. They assessed themselves as confident in starting their own businesses upon release, leveraging the experience and skills gained during the training, thereby reducing the likelihood of recidivism. Consequently, prison authorities can develop strategies to attract more inmates to join the culinary skills training, as the current training only involved five participants. One potential strategy is to inform inmates of the benefits of participating in the training, such as the possibility of receiving sentence remissions.
