Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas VI-B SDN 20 Tanjung Pandan Belitung melalui penerapan media e-comic science berbasis problem based learning (PBL). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Januari-April 2024 di semester genap tahun ajaran 2023/2024 dengan menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan McTaggart dalam tiga siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap: perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik diharapkan mencapai kriteria keberhasilan yang ditetapkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis setelah menggunakan media e-comic science berbasis PBL, yang ditandai dengan peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus III. Persentase kemampuan berpikir kritis pada siklus I adalah 54,5%, meningkat menjadi 77,3% pada siklus II, dan mencapai 86,4% pada siklus III. Instrumen pemantauan tindakan guru menunjukkan peningkatan dari 80% pada siklus I menjadi 100% pada siklus II, dengan konsistensi 100% pada siklus III. Instrumen pemantauan tindakan peserta didik juga menunjukkan peningkatan dari 73,3% pada siklus I menjadi 100% pada siklus II, dengan konsistensi 100% pada siklus III. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa media e-comic science berbasis PBL dapat menjadi solusi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas VI. Efektivitas penggunaan media e-comic science berbasis PBL dapat dilakukan secara efisien dan optimal secara bertahap. Kata kunci : E-Comic Science, Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis, Problem Based Learning ***** This research aims to improve the critical thinking skills of sixth-grade students at SDN 20 Tanjung Pandan Belitung through the implementation of e-comic science media based on problem-based learning (PBL). The study was conducted from January to April 2024 during the second semester of the 2023/2024 academic year using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with the Kemmis and McTaggart model in three cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The critical thinking skills of the students were expected to meet the predetermined success criteria. The results showed an increase in critical thinking skills after using the e-comic science media based on PBL, as indicated by improvements from the first cycle to the third cycle. The percentage of critical thinking skills in the first cycle was 54.5%, which increased to 77.3% in the second cycle and reached 86.4% in the third cycle. The teacher's action monitoring instrument showed an increase from 80% in the first cycle to 100% in the second cycle, with consistency at 100% in the third cycle. The student action monitoring instrument also showed an increase from 73.3% in the first cycle to 100% in the second cycle, with consistency at 100% in the third cycle. The implication of this research is that e-comic science media based on PBL can be a solution to improve the critical thinking skills of sixth-grade students.
