Abstract
Kata kunci: Work-life balance, Job satisfaction, Psychological well-being, Dokter ***** Doctors often face long working hours, heavy workloads, and limited time for personal and family activities, making it challenging for them to enjoy their personal lives and engage in social interactions. This situation is closely linked to a critical aspect of psychological well-being, specifically the sense of happiness derived from positive relationships with others. In the medical profession, psychological well-being is a vital factor influencing both the personal and professional lives of doctors, ultimately impacting the quality of healthcare services provided to patients. Achieving psychological well-being requires a balance between work and personal life, as this balance can help reduce role conflicts. Consequently, maintaining a work-life balance is essential for doctors, particularly those operating in high-pressure environments. Success in the workplace, coupled with job satisfaction, significantly contributes to the enhancement of psychological well-being, especially through the dimensions of autonomy and personal growth as articulated in Ryff's theory. The objective of this study is to analyze the impact of work-life balance and job satisfaction on the psychological well-being of doctors in Indonesia. The study employs work-life balance instruments (17 items), job satisfaction instruments (9 items), and psychological well-being instruments (28 items). The participants of this study consist of 115 doctors from Indonesia. The findings indicate that worklife balance and job satisfaction jointly have a significant effect on psychological well-being, with a determination coefficient (R²) of 12.8%. The effect size, as measured by Cohen's f-square, is 0.14, suggesting that the regression model of work-life balance and job satisfaction on psychological well-being exerts a small but statistically significant influence. Doctors who achieve a high level of work-life balance and job satisfaction are likely to experience a positive emotional state, enhanced self-quality in relationships with others, and an increased potential for self-development.
