Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis abreviasi bahasa Prancis yang terdapat dalam serial webtoon Monsieur Le Prof karya William Lafleur. Penelitian ini merupakan sebuah penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan metode analisis isi dengan sumber penelitian, serial webtoon Monsieur Le Prof karya William Lafleur. Data pada penelitian ini berupa kata, frasa dan kalimat dalam serial webtoon Monsieur Le Prof. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tabel analisis data berdasarkan teori jenis abreviasi bahasa Prancis yang dikemukakan oleh Dumarest dan Morsel (2017). Jenis abreviasi dalam bahasa Prancis tersebut yaitu, la troncation dan la siglaison. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu teknik simak bebas catat dengan metode simak. Setelah data berhasil dikumpulkan, data kemudian di analisis menggunakan bantuan tabel analisis data. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini yaitu, teknik analisis data model Miles dan Huberman yang terdiri dari pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Selanjutnya, data yang telah dianalisis tersebut disajikan berdasarkan jenis abreviasi bahasa Prancis yang sesuai. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat dua jenis abreviasi dalam serial webtoon Monsieur Le Prof, yaitu la troncation dan la siglaison. La troncation merupakan jenis abreviasi yang paling banyak ditemukan, yaitu sebanyak 17 data. Sedangkan, jenis abreviasi la siglaison ditemukan sebanyak 16 data. Total dari keseluruhan data yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 33 data. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa serial webtoon Monsieur Le Prof mengandung abreviasi bahasa Prancis yang dapat digunakan untuk mempelajari lebih dalam mengenai abreviasi bahasa Prancis, memperkaya kosakata bahasa Prancis, dan sebagai bahan ajar penunjang dalam mempelajari bahasa Prancis. ***** The purpose of this study is to describe the types of French abbreviations found in Monsieur Le Prof webtoon series by William Lafleur. This research is a qualitative research that uses content analysis method with the research source, Monsieur Le Prof webtoon series by William Lafleur. The data in this research are words, phrases and sentences in the Monsieur Le Prof webtoon series. The instrument used is a data analysis table based on the theory of French abbreviation types proposed by Dumarest and Morsel (2017). The types of abbreviations in French are la troncation and la siglaison. The data collection technique used is the free-listening technique with the listening method. After the data is collected, the data is then analysed using the help of data analysis table. The data analysis technique in this research is the Miles and Huberman model which consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Furthermore, the analysed data is presented based on the appropriate types of French abbreviations. The results of this study show that there are two types of abbreviations in the Monsieur Le Prof webtoon series, namely la troncation and la siglaison. La troncation is the most common type of abbreviation found, which is 17 data. Meanwhile, la siglaison abbreviation was found in 16 data. The total of all data found in this research is 33 data. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Monsieur Le Prof webtoon series contains French abbreviations that can be used to learn more about French abbreviations, enrich French vocabulary, and as supporting teaching materials in learning French.
