Abstract

Skripsi ini mengkaji peran Tari Ronggeng Beken sebagai identitas budaya ditengah masyarakat Kota Bekasi yang beragam. Permasalahan penelitian berfokus pada pemahaman bagaimana Tari Ronggeng, yang merupakan tari rakyat tradisional telah beradaptasi dan mencerminkan kompleksitas masyarakat multikultur, terutama ketika bersinggungan dengan arus budaya global. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa Tari Ronggeng Beken sebagai identitas budaya bagi masyarakat Kota Bekasi dari perspektif performance studies. Hal ini melibatkan analisis elemen-elemen tarian seperti koreografi, musik, dan kostum untuk mengungkapkan bagaimana elemen tersebut menarasikan multikultural masyarakat. Manfaat dari penelitian ini dapat dirasakan oleh akademisi dalam seni, dengan menawarkan wawasan mengenai dinamika ekspresi identitas budaya dalam seni pertunjukan dan menyumbangkan pemikiran untuk pengambil kebijakan dalam sistem pengelolaan pertunjukan tari dalam upaya penguat identitas budaya masyarakat multikultural. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Sumber data pada penelitian ini diperoleh dari narasumber, peristiwa, dokumen, dan pustaka dengan teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan melalui empat cara yaitu 1) Wawancara mendalam dengan narasumber dan informan. 2) Pengamatan terhadap objek yang dilakukan secara langsung maupun tidak langsung. 3) Studi dokumen, dan 4) Studi Pustaka yang berkaitan dengan pertunjukan Tari Ronggeng Beken pada Pesona Nusantara Bekasi Keren. Deskripsi data penelitian dapat dikelompokkan menjadi 4 pokok bahasan yaitu, gambaran umum masyarakat multikultural di Kota Bekasi, prosesi pertunjukan Tari Ronggeng Beken pada festival Pesona Nusantara Bekasi Keren, serta bentuk, dan struktur Tari Ronggeng Beken. Data tersebut dianalisis melalui perspektif performance studies Richard Schechner, yaitu ritual, restored behaviour, dan performativity untuk memahami kompleksitas dan dinamika identias budaya dalam konteks tari pertunjukan. Berdasarkan analisis tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa, Tari Ronggeng Beken sebagai identitas budaya masyarakat Kota Bekasi dan pertunjukan Tari Ronggeng Beken pada Pesona Nusantara Bekasi Keren menciptakan pengalaman kolektif yang memperkuat ikatan komunitas dan memunculkan identitas baru yang terbangun dari gabungan 3 etnis. **** This thesis examines the role of the Ronggeng Beken Dance as a cultural identity among diverse society of the city of Bekasi. The research problem focuses on understanding how the Ronggeng Dance, which is a traditional folk dance, has adapted and reflects the complexity of a multicultural society, especially when it interacts with global cultural flows. The main aim of this research is to analyze the Ronggeng Beken Dance as a cultural identity for diverse society of the city of Bekasi from a performance studies perspective. This involves analyzing dance elements such as choreography, music, and costumes to reveal how these elements narrate a multicultural society. The benefits of this research will be felt by academics in the arts, by offering insight into the dynamics of cultural identity expression in the performing arts and contributing ideas to policy makers in dance performance management systems in an effort to strengthen the cultural identity of multicultural communities. This research uses a qualitative research design with an ethnographic approach. Data sources in this research were obtained from sources, events, documents and literature with data collection techniques carried out in four ways, namely 1) In-depth interviews with sources and informants. 2) Observations of objects carried out directly or indirectly. 3) Document study, and 4) Literature study related to the Ronggeng Beken Dance performance at Pesona Nusantara Bekasi Keren. The description of the research data can be grouped into 4 main topics, namely, a general description of the multicultural society in Bekasi City, the procession of the Ronggeng Beken Dance performance at the Pesona Nusantara Bekasi Keren festival, as well as the form and structure of the Ronggeng Beken Dance. This data was analyzed through Richard Schechner's performance studies perspective, namely ritus, restored behavior, and performativity to understand the complexity and dynamics of cultural identity in the context of performance dance. Based on this analysis, it can be concluded that, the Ronggeng Beken Dance as a cultural identity of the people of Bekasi City and the Ronggeng Beken Dance performance at Pesona Nusantara Bekasi Keren creates a collective experience that strengthens community ties and gives rise to a new identity that is built from a combination of 3 ethnicities.
