Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perkembangan notasi neuma yang terjadi pada abad pertengahan tahun 800-1300 Masehi dan menjelaskan proses transkrip partitur yang menggunakan notasi Neuma.Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi pustaka. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Agustus 2023 sampai bulan Mei 2024. Hasil penelitian Perkembangan Notasi Neuma Abad Pertengahan Tahun 800-1300 Masehi adalah diwakili dengan wilayah perkembangan notasi neuma. Perkembangan diawali dengan notasi Neuma daerah Perancis dan Swiss yang diwakili oleh notasi Breton, St Gall dan Laon, kemudian notasi Neuma wilayah Inggris, Perancis dan Italia yang diwakili oleh notasi Winchester, Toulouse dan Benevento. Lalu notasi Neuma wilayah Perancis dan Jerman yang diwakili oleh notasi Paris dan Gothic. Transkrip Partitur notasi neuma menggunakan alur mundur dengan mencocokan alur pergerakan melodi partitur modern dan partitur notasi neuma. Kata Kunci: Notasi, Neuma, Abad Pertengahan*****The purpose of this study is to determine the development of neuma notation that occurred in medieval times 800-1300 AD and to explain how to transcribe scores that use Neume Notation.The research method used is a descriptive qualitative research method using Literature Study approach. The research was conducted from August 2023 to May 2024.The results of the research on the development of Medieval Neuma Notation 800-1300 AD are represented by the developmental areas of neuma notation. The development begins with the French and Swiss neuma notation represented by Breton, St. Gall and Laon notations, then the English, French and Italian neuma notation represented by Winchester, Toulouse and Benevento notations and the French and German neuma notation represented by Paris and Gothic notations. The transcript of the neuma notation score uses a backward flow by matching the melodic movement of the modern score and the neuma notation score. Keywords: Notation, Neuma, Medieval.
