Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran budaya sekolah dalam penguatan karakter siswa di SMP Islam PB Soedirman Bekasi. Karakter siswa merupakan komponen esensial dalam Pendidikan yang mencerminkan nilai-nilai moral dan sikap sosial yang baik. Budaya sekolah yang meliputi norma, nilai tradisi, dan kebiasaan yang berkembang dalam lingkungan sekolah dan memainkan peran penting dalam penguatan karakter siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian meliputi kepala sekolah, wakil bidang kurikulum, wakil bidang kesiswaan, guru, dan BK. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Penerapan Budaya Sekolah diawali dengan implementasi visi misi yang menjadi suatu program, budaya sekolah yang diterapkan yaitu budaya 5S, literasi, kedisiplinan, tadarus al-qur’an, dan asmaul husna, shalat sunnah dhuha, shalat dzuhur ashar berjamaah, kultum setelah sholat, dan hidup bersih; (2) Peran kepala sekolah dan guru sebagai model teladan dalam menunjukkan sikap dan perilaku yang sangat berpengaruh dalam proses pembelajaran karakter siswa, serta menjadi motivator dan inspirator kepada siswa diluar dan didalam pembelajaran. Memberikan lingkungan yang kondusif, aman, dan penuh rasa kebersamaan mendorong siswa untuk mengamalkan nilai-nilai yang diajarkan; (3) Budaya sekolah memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam penguatan karakter siswa. sekolah perlu mengembangkan dan memperkuat budaya positif, dengan adanya budaya sekolah dapat memperkuat karakter siswa, seperti religius, moral dan etika, sosial, dan kepribadian. ***** This research aims to examine the role of school culture in strengthening student character at Islamic Middle School PB Soedirman Bekasi. Student character is an essential component in education that reflects moral values and good social attitudes. School culture includes norms, traditional values and habits that develop within the school environment and play an important role in strengthening student character. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation studies. Research subjects included school principals, curriculum representatives, student affairs representatives, teachers, and guidance counselors. The results of this research show that: (1) The implementation of School Culture begins with the implementation of the vision and mission which becomes a program, the school culture implemented is 5S culture, literacy, discipline, tadarus al-Qur'an, and Asmaul Husna, Dhuha Sunnah prayers, midday Asr prayer in congregation, cult after prayer, and clean living; (2) The role of school principals and teachers as exemplary models in showing attitudes and behavior that are very influential in the learning process of student character, as well as being a motivator and inspiration for students outside and inside learning. Providing an environment that is conducive, safe and full of a sense of togetherness encourages students to practice the values taught; (3) School culture has a very important role in strengthening student character. Schools need to develop and strengthen a positive culture, with school culture it can strengthen students' characters, such as religious, moral and ethical, social and personality.
