ABSTRAK Ester Catherine. 2020. Verlan dalam Lagu Rap Prancis Grup Musik Sexion D’assaut pada Album L’école Des Points Vitaux. Skripsi. Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Prancis, Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memaparkan proses pembentukan kata verlan yang terdapat dalam lirik lagu rap album L’école Des Points Vitaux oleh grup musik Sexion D’assaut. Adapun penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik simak dan catat yang dibagi menjadi 3 tahap menurut Miles dan Huberman, yaitu tahap reduksi data, tahap penyajian data dan tahap penarikan atau verifikasi data. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri dengan bantuan tabel analisis data yang memuat tiga proses pembentukan kata verlan menurut Vivienne Méla, yaitu monosyllabes, dissyllabes dan trissyllabes. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat 65 kata verlan dalam lirik lagu rap album L’école Des Points Vitaux. Hasil analisis datanya memperlihatkan proses pembentukan kata verlan yang paling banyak ditemukan adalah dissyllabes sebanyak 41 kata, lalu monosyllabes sebanyak 13 kata, kemudian trissyllabes yang berjumlah 11 kata. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dipaparkan sebelumnya, diharapkan mahasiswa bahasa Prancis dapat mengenal kata-kata bahasa populer termasuk verlan melalui lagu-lagu rap dan memahami proses pembentukan inversi verlan. The purpose of this study is to describe the process of verlan word formation contained in the lyrics of the rap album L’école Des Points Vitaux by the music group Sexion D'assaut. The research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive qualitative research method. Data collection techniques applied in this study are listening and note technique which is divided into 3 stages according to Miles and Huberman, namely the data reduction stage, the data presentation stage and the data withdrawal or verification stage. The instrument used in this study was the researcher himself with the help of data analysis tables which contained the three verlan word formation processes according to Vivienne Méla, namely monosyllabes, dissyllabes and trissyllabes. The results of this study indicate that there are 65 verlan words in the lyrics to the rap album L’école Des Points Vitaux. The results of the data analysis show that the process of forming the word verlan, which was found the most was 41 vocabulary dissyllabes, then 13 vocabulary monosyllabes, then 11 vocabulary trissyllabes. Based on the results of the research that has been presented previously, it is hoped that French students can get to know popular words including verlan though French rap songs and understand the process of forming verlan inversions.
