Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran inquiry terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis alam pembelajaran IPA siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar di kecamatan pulo gadung jakarta timur. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian eksperimen dengan pola posttest-only control group design. Subjek pada penelitian ini yaitu kelas IV A sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelas IV B sebagai kelompok kontrol pada SDN Rawamangun 09. Sampel diambil dengan Teknik Cluster Random Sampling yang terbagi dalam dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Inquiry dan kelompok kontrol dengan menggunakan model Problem Based Learning. Data dikumpulkan dengan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis dan dianalisis menggunakan uji-t. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan, diperoleh hasil thitung (3.431) lebih besar dibandingkan ttabel (1.677) dengan taraf signifikan 0.05. Dengan demikian, maka dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan berpikir kritis IPA siswa pada kelompok yang diberikan perlakuan model pembelajaran inquiry dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis IPA siswa pada kelompok yang diberikan perlakuan model problem based learning. / This research aims to determine the effect of the inquiry learning model on critical thinking skills in science learning for fourth grade elementary school students in Pulo Gadung sub�district, East Jakarta. The research method used is a quantitative method with an experimental research design with a posttest-only control group design pattern. The subjects in this research were class IV A as the experimental group and class IV B as the control group at SDN Rawamangun 09. Samples were taken using the Cluster Random Sampling Technique which were divided into two groups, namely the experimental group using the Inquiry learning model and the control group using the Problem Based Learning model. Data was collected using critical thinking ability tests and analyzed using t-test. Based on the calculation results, the tcount (3,431) is greater than ttable (1,677) with a significance level of 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the science critical thinking abilities of students in the group given the inquiry learning model treatment and the science critical thinking abilities of students in the group given the problem based model treatment learning.
