Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran orang tua dalam karakter disiplin belajar siswa kelas V-C di Sekolah Dasar Pondok Kelapa 05 Pagi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan single subject research (ssr). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa peran orang tua yang tepat dapat diwujudkan dengan cara memberi perhatian, pengawasan, memenuhi kebutuhan, serta sikap positif orang tua yang ditunjukkan pada anak yang dapat berpengaruh pada sikap anak salah satunya dalam kedisiplinan belajar. Sehingga dilihat dari karakter siswa pada saat pembelajaran berlangsung menunjukkan peran orang tua bukan satu-satunya penyebab karakter disiplin belajar siswa, faktor lain yang mempengaruhi karakter disiplin belajar siswa adalah faktor dalam diri individu, lingkungan, dan suasana pembelajaran yang diciptakan oleh guru. Kata kunci : peran orang tua, karakter disiplin belajar. ***** This study aims to describe the role of parents in the character of learning discipline of class V-C students at Pondok Kelapa 05 Pagi Elementary School. The method used is a descriptive qualitative method with a single subject research (SSR) approach. Data collection was carried out using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results of the study found that the right role of parents can be realized by giving attention, supervision, meeting needs, and positive attitudes of parents shown to children which can affect children's attitudes, one of which is in learning discipline. So that when seen from the character of students during learning, it shows that the role of parents is not the only cause of students' learning discipline character, other factors that influence students' learning discipline character are factors within the individual, the environment, and the learning atmosphere created by the teacher.
