Abstract

ABSTRAK Nurmala Dewi, 1206620001, “Picture book: Cerita Si Johan (Kisah Anak Penyandang Hemofilia)”, Tugas Akhir, Jakarta: Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan pada para penyandang hemofilia usia 7-11 tahun terkait keadaannya. Hal ini dilakukan agar para penyandang dapat mengetahui mengenai olahraga yang sesuai, pertolongan pertama dan pengobatan serta tantangan yang mungkin terjadi khususnya apabila penyandang sudah bersekolah dan jauh dari pengawasan orangtua. Hasil survei terhadap 47 orangtua penyandang hemofilia menyatakan bahwa media informasi berupa picture book yang membahas tentang hemofilia penting untuk diketahui para penyandang. Menurut hasil survei, penciptaan picture book mengenai hemofilia belum pernah ditemukan oleh para penyandang sehingga memunculkan keresahan bagi peneliti terhadap kurangnya media informasi seperti picture book yang memuat informasi tentang hemofilia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode design thinking. Selanjutnya, pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, kuesioner, dan dokumentasi. Tahap awal dilakukan riset terkait materi hemofilia, melakukan studi tren produk sejenis, dan melakukan analisis terhadap pemahaman anak usia 7-11 tahun terhadap buku yang telah dibuat. Picture book dengan judul “Cerita Si Johan: Johan dan Hemofilia” yang disajikan dengan ilustrasi dapat memberikan pengalaman membaca yang menyenangkan bagi anak, serta mudah dipahami. Melalui penelitian ini, diharapkan para penyandang hemofilia dapat memperoleh informasi yang lebih baik tentang kondisinya dan belajar bagaimana menjaga kesehatan mereka sejak dini. This research aims to provide knowledge to hemophilia patients aged 7-11 years regarding their condition. This is done so that patients can learn about appropriate sports, first aid, treatment, and potential challenges, especially when they start school and are away from parental supervision. A survey of 47 parents of hemophilia patients indicated that informational media in the form of a picture book discussing hemophilia is important for patients to know about. According to the survey results, the creation of a picture book about hemophilia has not been encountered by patients before, which led the researcher to be concerned about the lack of informational media, such as picture books, containing information about hemophilia. This study uses a qualitative approach with a design thinking method. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The initial stages involved researching hemophilia materials, studying trends in similar products, and analyzing the understanding of 7-11 year-old children regarding the created book. The picture book titled "Cerita Si Johan: Johan dan Hemofilia" (The Story of Johan: Johan and Hemophilia), presented with illustrations, can provide an enjoyable reading experience for children and is easy to understand. Through this research, it is hoped that hemophilia patients can obtain better information about their condition and learn how to maintain their health from an early age.
