Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa autis dalam memahami instruksi dengan metode applied behavior analysis (ABA). Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa autis kelas II di SDIP Daarul Jannah Bogor, Jawa Barat. kemampuan memahami instruksi yang diintervensi adalah instruksi menunjuk benda. Penelitian menggunakan metode Single Subject Research (SSR) dengan desain A-B-A. Pengumpulan data dilakukan sebelum, sesudah, dan dapat saat intervensi berlangsung. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis inspeksi visual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode applied behavior analysis dapat meningkatkan kemampuan memahami instruksi siswa autis dalam menunjuk benda. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa metode ABA dapat digunakan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan siswa autis dalam memahami instruksi. Oleh karena itu, guru perlu mengetahui kebutuhan siswa agar dapat mengembangkan kemampuan siswa menggunakan metode ABA. **************************************************** This study aims to improve the ability of autistic students to understand instructions. The subjects of this study were autistic students in grade II at SDIP Daarul Jannah Bogor, West Java. the ability to understand the instructions that intervened was the instruction to pointing at objects. This research used the Single Subject Research (SSR) method with an A-B-A design. Data were collected before, after, and during the intervention. The data analysis used is visual inspection analysis. The results showed that applied behavior analysis methods can improve the ability to understand the instruction of autistic students in pointing objects. These results suggest that the ABA method may be used in improving the ability of autistic students to understand instruction. Therefore, teachers need to know the needs of students in order to develop students' abilities using the ABA method.
