Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran proses keaktoran dari aktor teater yang menggunakan aspek-aspek regulasi diri untuk mencapai tujuan dalam keaktoran, yang mana aspek-aspek tersebut terdiri dari Pemilihan tujuan (goal selection), Persiapan bertindak (preparation for action), Siklus perilaku cybernetic (cybernetic cycle of behavior). Penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi dalam aspek regulasi diri seperti Self-efficacy beliefs, Possible self, dan Self-awareness. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu 2 orang laki-laki yang masing-masing berusia 23 tahun dan 27 tahun yang berprofesi sebagai aktor dan sutradara. Kedua subjek diambil dari masing-masing tempat subjek berlatih akting yaitu di Jakarta Movement of Inspiration dan di Unit Kesenian Mahasiswa UNJ Jakarta Timur. Metode pada penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan metode kualitatif. Tipe penelitian ini menggunakan studi kasus. Metode pengumpulan data penelitian ini yaitu wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kedua subjek aktor sudah menjalani proses keaktoran seperti perencanaan pemeranan, pelaksanaan perencanaan pemeranan, latihan bersama tim dan latihan mandiri, pelaksanaan di atas panggung, dengan seluruh tindakan dalam proses keaktoran tersebut diwujudkan menggunakan aspek-aspek regulasi diri untuk mencapai sebuah tujuan yaitu memerankan karakter dengan sebaik mungkin sehingga pesan yang ingin disampaikan dapat tersampaikan dengan utuh ke penonton tanpa mengharap apresiasi dalam bentuk apapun, sehingga subjek selama di dunia keaktoran selalu bahagia menjalani proses keaktoran tanpa merasa terbebani. This study is aimed at providing description on actorship process of theater actors using self-regulation aspects in order to achieve A goal in actorship, which the aspects consisting of goal selection, preparation for action, cybernetic cycle of behavior. This study also aims to identifying the influencing factors in self-regulation such as self-efficacy beliefs, possible self, and self-awareness. Subjects in this study were 2 males who each aged 23 years old and 27 years old, respectively having profession as actor and director. Both subjects collected from the places of subjects attending acting exercises namely at Jakarta Movement of Inspiration and at Student Arts Unit of UNJ in East Jakarta. Method applied in this research namely qualitative one. This type of research employs case study. Data collection of this research namely by interviews and observations. Results of this study show that both subjects or actors have been going through actorship process such as planning, role playing, implementation of the planning and role playing, rehearsals with the team and independent rehearsals, implementation at stage, with all acts in the actorship process were implemented using aspects of self-regulation to achieve a goal namely playing a character as best as they can so the message to be presented can be delivered in an intact way to the audiences without expecting appreciation in any form whatsoever, so the subjects while at the actorship world always be happy in performing the theater process without being burdened.
