Abstract
Berdasarkan hasil kuesioner yang diperoleh dari peserta didik kelas XI Jurusan Teknik Otomotif 5 pada mata pelajaran Pemeliharaan Sasis Pemindah Tenaga diperoleh informasi bahwa perlu dilakukan pembaruan terkait model pembelajaran. Hal ini ditunjukan dari beberapa faktor, salah satunya yaitu hasil belajar siswa yang perlu ditingkatkan. Banyak model pembelajaran yang bisa digunakan di antaranya Project Based Learning karena metode ini memiliki karakter pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Mengetahui pengaruh penerapan metode pembelajaran berbasis proyek (Project Based Learning) terhadap hasil belajar siswa SMK kelas 11 Jurusan Teknik Otomotif dalam mata pelajaran Pemeliharaan Sasis Pemindah Tenaga (PSPT) dibandingkan dengan metode pembelajaran yang diterapkan sebelumnya. (2) Mengetahui tingkat efektivitas antara metode pembelajaran berbasis proyek (Project Based Learning) dan metode pembelajaran yang diterapkan sebelumnya terhadap hasil belajar siswa SMK kelas 11 Jurusan Teknik Otomotif dalam mata pelajaran Pemeliharaan Sasis Pemindah Tenaga (PSPT). Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kausal komparatif dengan sampel penelitian siswa kelas XI TO 5 (Kelas Eksperimen) dan XI TO 6 (Kelas Kontrol). Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu nilai post-test pengujian hipotesis untuk kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen diperoleh Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) adalah 0,000. Sedangkan perhitungan uji N-Gain Score diperoleh nilai rata-rata N-Gain kelas eksperimen (metode PjBL) adalah 56,48 %. Sedangkan rata-rata N-Gain Score kelas kontrol (metode konvensional) adalah 41,85 %. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan soal tes pilihan ganda. Dalam mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran PjBL terhadap hasil belajar siswa dilakukan uji mann whitney, uji normalized gain score serta deskriptif kuantitatif untuk menggambarkan hasil belajar siswa. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini yaitu (1) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penerapan metode pembelajaran berbasis proyek (Project Based Learning) terhadap hasil belajar siswa SMK kelas 11 Jurusan Teknik Otomotif dalam mata pelajaran Pemeliharaan Sasis Pemindah Tenaga (PSPT) dibandingkan dengan metode pembelajaran yang diterapkan sebelumnya. Dalam pengujian hipotesis didapat hasil bahwa nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) adalah 0,000 lebih kecil dari 0,05. (2) Tingkat efektifitas metode pembelajaran Project based learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa SMK kelas 11 Jurusan Teknik Otomotif dalam mata pelajaran Pemeliharaan Sasis Pemindah Tenaga (PSPT) masuk dalam kategori cukup efektif dengan nilai rata-rata N-gain 56,48 %, Sedangkan tingkat efektifitas dengan metode pembelajaran yang sudah diterapkan sebelumnya masuk dalam kategori kurang efektif dengan nilai rata rata N-gain 41,85 %. Kata Kunci : Hasil belajar siswa, N-Gain Score, Project Based Learning. ***** Based on the results of the questionnaire obtained from students of class XI Automotive Engineering Department 5 in the Power Transmission Chassis Maintenance subject, information was obtained that an update was needed regarding the learning model. This is indicated by several factors, one of which is student learning outcomes that need to be improved. There are many learning models that can be used, including Project Based Learning because this method has a student-centered learning character. This study aims to (1) Determine the effect of implementing project-based learning methods (Project Based Learning) on the learning outcomes of students of class 11 Automotive Engineering Department in the Power Transmission Chassis Maintenance (PSPT) subject compared to previously applied learning methods. (2) Determine the level of effectiveness between the project-based learning method (Project Based Learning) and the previously applied learning method on the learning outcomes of students of class 11 Automotive Engineering Department in the Power Transmission Chassis Maintenance (PSPT) subject. The research method used is causal comparative with a research sample of students of class XI TO 5 (Experimental Class) and XI TO 6 (Control Class). The results of this study are the post-test value of hypothesis testing for the control class and the experimental class obtained Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.000. While the calculation of the N-Gain Score test obtained the average value of the N-Gain of the experimental class (PjBL method) is 56.48%. While the average N-Gain Score of the control class (conventional method) is 41.85%. Data collection in this study used multiple-choice test questions. In determining the effect of PjBL learning on student learning outcomes, the Mann Whitney test, the normalized gain score test and quantitative descriptive tests were carried out to describe student learning outcomes. The conclusions in this study are (1) There is a significant effect of the application of project-based learning methods (Project Based Learning) on the learning outcomes of 11th grade SMK students majoring in Automotive Engineering in the subject of Power Transmission Chassis Maintenance (PSPT) compared to the previously applied learning methods. In testing the hypothesis, the results showed that the Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value was 0.000, smaller than 0.05. (2) The level of effectiveness of the Project Based Learning method on the learning outcomes of 11th grade SMK students majoring in Automotive Engineering in the Power Transmission Chassis Maintenance (PSPT) subject is in the fairly effective category with an average N-gain value of 56.48%, while the level of effectiveness with the previously applied learning method is in the less effective category with an average N-gain value of 41.85%.
