Abstract

This research is aimed to design ICT competences-integrated listening courses models of teaching for English Language Education Study Program (S-1 undergraduate program). This research employed Designed and Development Research (DDR). The steps of DDR were modified into four steps including need analysis, prototype design, evaluation, and revision of prototype. The data were facts or information found in the existing model of teaching. The data were teaching and learning process of listening courses collected through classroom observation and listening course syllabus documents analysis. The result of analysis revealed that ICT competences were integrated in the existing model of teaching of listening courses mostly in teaching materials and certain teaching and learning activities. Data from observation revealed that the lecturers promoted the use of ICT through online mode and face-toface classroom. Besides, the ICT competence level in existing models of teaching dominantly was Technology Literacy. There were ten steps to integrate ICT competences into approach, method, and technique as model of teaching components. The proposed models of teaching accommodated the ICT competences levels namely Technology Literacy, Knowledge Deepenind, and Knowledge Creation. The designed models applied Cognitive, Humanistic, and Behavior approaches and three methods including Scaffolding, Community Language Teaching, and Computer Assisted Instruction.
